Meet This Extraordinary Dumb Criminal

It is only in Nigerian Politics that you can be dumb criminal and still go away with it,  this dude is the dumbest Street criminal I know of.

According to Graphic Online, a man known as Schmidt Yamoah has been sentenced to eight years in prison with hard labour- after he was found guilty of kidnapping a four year old boy and collecting a ransom from his father. All thanks to TrueCaller

Yamoah, who is unemployed, stayed in the same town as the boy and his father, Anaji in the Western Region. Yamoah a while back concocted an elaborate kidnapping scheme, where he called the boy's teacher impersonating his father, and told her he would send someone to come for the kid.

After taking custody of the child, the suspect is said to have locked him up in a hotel room, called the boy's father and placed a ransom of 25,000 on his head. They later agreed on 3,000 cedis, which the boy's father paid and secured his son's release.

The boy's father had called Yamoah's number using Truecaller-an app that can tell you who's calling based on their online footprint- which revealed his full name as Schmidt Yamoah.

The man then went on social media and searched the name Schmidt Yamoah, got a photograph of him and showed it to the boy, who identified Yamoah as the one who had come for him.

He gave the information to the police.

He was arrested, arraigned before court, and then given his sentence after pleading guilty.
