The incident, Sunday Vanguard reports, happened in October 2015, when the victim, based in Spain, with her seven year-old daughter, visited Nigeria.

Trouble reportedly started when she was said to have visited a native doctor at Sakpoba Road, Benin
City shortly after her arrival in Nigeria. Though Sunday Vanguard could not ascertain the relationship between the woman and the native doctor, it was said that the wife of the latter became jealous of the alleged 'close relationship' between the Marbel and her husband and engaged Marbel in a shouting match.

She accused her of having an affair with her husband but Marbel refuted the allegation vehemently, explaining that the relationship between her and the husband was purely business. But of course the wife did not believe her story and continued to protest.

Neighbours told Sunday Vanguard the wife feared Marbel may be using her connection abroad to make her husband dump her. Sunday Vanguard learnt that the situation took a turn for the worse when the native doctor's wife called Marbel's husband in Spain to report the matter to him.

It was gathered that the incident caused problems between Marbel and her husband. Marbel-Mark Marbel-Mark Tragedy struck, however, when Marbel went to the salon to fix her hair, as unknown persons stormed the place and bathed her with acid. The incident caused pandemonium as people ran helter-skelter, a situation which gave the suspects the opportunity to escape.

Marbel was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) for treatment before she was flown back to her base in Spain for surgery. It was amid this tragedy that the victim was said to have sued her husband for divorce, which was said to have been granted by a court in Spain.

Though the reason for the divorce is unknown, it was gathered that Marbel's husband and the native doctor's wife continued their communication to the discomfort of the victim. However, Marbel, who is still receiving treatment in the Spanish hospital, is appealing for justice from Edo State Police Command.

Speaking to Sunday Vanguard on telephone, the victim lamented:

"I have spent so much hospital bills to save my life due to the wickedness of somebody. I have petitioned the state Police Command through my lawyer. I am only appealing for justice. The police must apprehend the person that bathed me with acid and those that sent them. I have spent all I have on hospital bills so I cannot equally be denied justice in Nigeria. I only came on holiday but look at what I got in return. I need the prayers and help of everyone, particularly the police so that those behind this will be apprehended. I am in pains and those behind this should not go unpunished.

And I appeal that the investigation should be accelerated because justice delayed is justice denied. Life has become so frustrating but I thank God for his mercies.''

Sunday Vanguard learnt that the matter is being investigated by the homicide section of the Edo Police. It was said that the wife of the native doctor has been interrogated and some other persons questioned also.

Spokesman for the state Police Command, Abiodun Osifo, who hinted that detectives were investigating the matter, described the attack on the victim as wicked, assuring that the suspects will be arrested in due course.

"We appeal to members of the public to help us with useful information because, without information, the police can do little or nothing. This is a crime against God and humanity and we must not condone it. How can somebody bath a fellow human being with acid? Even if the person is your enemy, does that make sense? Such people must face the law no matter where they are hiding. You cannot run forever. I believe the police will uncover the suspects and bring them to justice"

Two pastors arrested for seeking sex with underage girl(Photos)

Two men of God were arrested for seeking sex with a young girl instead of tending to the souls of their flocks.

Jason Kennedy and Zubin Parakh were nabbed in an undercover sting operation in Knoxville, Tennessee, after answering an online ad to have sex with an underaged prostitute.

Kennedy, a 46-year-old children's pastor for Grace Baptist Church, and Parakh, a 32-year-old creative pastor at LifeHouse Church, were among 32 men and women arrested by the Tennessee
Bureau of Investigation in an anti-trafficking operation, the agency said Friday.

A police report from Kennedy's arrest seen by WVLT said that he had agreed to pay $100 for a half hour with two girls, one of whom was 15. Kennedy is married and has three children.

The Baptist preacher now faces patronizing prostitution and a trafficking charge that could land him with 60 years of prison. He was fired from his position after the news. Kennedy's church said in a statement:

"The actions of the children's pastor for which he has been arrested were part of his life outside the church, and we have received no questions or concerns related to his conduct within the church or its ministries." .

It added that a background check had been done on him before he arrived two-and-a-half years ago, and said that it was praying for the pastor's family.

Parakh, was also charged with trafficking, and like Kennedy, remained in custody as of Saturday morning ahead of hearings on May 31.

The fate of his job was not immediately clear, though his group distanced itself by saying he was only a volunteer.

References to him were stripped from his parish's website, which had listed him as a pastor. A previous page on the church's site seen by KGW said that he was gifted at music and "committed to seeing lives changed."

His social media profiles also showcased a number of performances where he sang about God's love.

TBI's "Operation Someone Like Me," the anti-trafficking sting that led to their and others' arrests made ads on Backpage.com that attracted more than 300 contacts, including more than 24 for an underage listing.

Among the 32 people arrested were men charged with patronizing or promoting prostitution and five women charged with prostitution.

Controversial SA pastor turns his members to horses and snakes(Photos)

Controversial South African pastor, Penuel Mnguni, of the End Time Disciples Ministries made headlines last year when he made his church members eat grass, drink fuel, swallow a live snake during a deliverance service.

He later graduated to commanding demonic spirits to enter his church members and proudly showed off the pictures on the internet. During his sermon last Friday, May 20th, Penuel claims he commanded this woman pictured above to turn into white horse and it happened as he commanded. See more photos after the cut..

I got married as a teenager(18yr) and I do not regret it - Kanu Nwankwo's wife, Amara

Married to Super Eagles' Nwankwo Kanu, Amara talks about marriage, motherhood and her other interests in a new interview with Punch Spice:
Excerpts:

You got married to one of Nigeria's star players at 18. How were you able to keep the family and home together at the time?

Marriage is a growth process and I learn on a daily basis. I got married as a teenager. I was young. I think I jumped into the deep end and I simply went with it. It takes a lot of determination to keep things going because irrespective of your age, marriage throws a lot of curves at you. The main thing is being able to bounce back after being hit with a surprise or what you do not expect.

Did you harbour any doubts about your marriage?

I wasn't scared; I felt it like it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I was in love, so there was no time for a negative feeling like fear to come up. I think the love I had and still have for my husband was all I needed to feel comfortable and good.

How did you adjust to being married to a popular personality?
When I was getting married, I was not ready to be thrust into the limelight. I didn't even know what I was getting into. I wasn't a football fan and I knew nothing about  the Premiership. I didn't know I was getting married into that level of limelight as I was young, vibrant and in love. I am now a football fan.

Have you lost your privacy?

If you notice, this interview is one of the very few I have granted in recent times. I try to keep my sanity, so  that I can protect my family. I had to make a personal decision to stay private for a very long time in order to build what I have built for myself and my children. I understood this from a very young age.

Would you want your daughter to emulate by getting married at a young age?

Having gone through it myself, I wouldn't say I would like her to do the same. I would like her to experience life slightly a bit more than I did. But it all depends on the circumstances and the persons involved. I had support from my mum, dad and siblings. In hindsight, I can say that they actually did a good job. In June, we would celebrate the 12th anniversary of our wedding.

How did you handle criticism at that time?
I ignored critics and paid no attention to what people said. I overlooked Facebook and I only signed on to the platform in July 2011. That was shortly after I earned a degree in Architecture.

If you could do anything differently in terms of marriage and certain decisions you have made over the years, what would it be?

I don't think I would want to do it differently. I think getting married early is my competitive advantage.I learnt real life and management skills in marriage. Even though I'm currently studying for an MBA, it can't beat the real life experiences. I won't change anything because it all worked for me.

While he still played active  football, how did you deal with the risks associated with his job?

When I began to understand what it meant to lose a game, I had to learn to cheer him up. I also had to learn really fast that every game had a consequence, a price and a goal at the end of the day.

How would you describe motherhood?

Motherhood is the best thing that has ever happened to me. In terms of motherhood, women empowerment and business sense, Beyonce inspires me. My children will always be my priority and I give God the most gratitude for blessing me with children. If I invest my time in them, they will give me more value at the end of the day.

How would you describe your husband?
He is a kind man and he has a big heart. He is also very sensitive and intelligent. He shows me compassion through his actions and he doesn't say too much.
