Breaking!! PDP Spokesman, Olisa Metuh Regains Freedom

 

Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh has left Kuje prison, Abuja, after perfecting the conditions of bail handed down by two separate high courts,The Cable report. The development was confirmed by Deji Adeyanju, PDP's director of new media. ‎"We are on our way to the house now.

We met the bail conditions about 20 minutes ago, and we are just leaving the federal high court," Adeyanju said. Metuh, until Thursday, had been in custody since January 5. ‎Okon Abang, justice of the federal high court, Maitama, Abuja, had granted him bail in the sum of N400m, and with two sureties with landed property at Maitama.

However, the PDP spokesman asked for a variation of the conditions of the bail. On Wednesday, Abang ruled that he must perfect the conditions of bail for him to be released from prison. Citing a ruling of the court granting him bail, Abang held: "The court cannot be expected to seat on appeal over its decision." He directed the accused person to go on appeal against the ruling of the court if he was dissatisfied with it.

However, the judge, while stating that the decision of the court to grant Metuh bail was not to keep him in custody, varied the condition requiring the accused person to have two sureties who must have landed property at Maitama, Abuja. He held that the scope of ownership of property for the sureties was now expanded to include all parts of the federal capital territory.

In other words, the sureties must have landed property within Abuja, and not just at Maitama. That was the only prayer in the application for variation of bail sought by Metuh that was granted. Last week, Ishaq Bello, justice of the federal capital territory (FCT) high court, Abuja, had also granted Metuh bail in the sum of N300m with two sureties in like sum. The PDP spokesman is facing a seven-count charge of money laundering at the federal high court, and‎ two-counts of destruction of document at the FCT high court.

There is also Health insurance, casualty insurance, Burial insurance, Property insurance each having lot of exciting insurance branches, it will be time-consuming explaining all, but the idea here is to comphrend that the benefits in getting insured, is amusing because it involves managing a lot of risks and misfortunes which are inevitable as we live each day.

In conclusion this five regulations noted, are actually primary details to ensure that you buy legitimate insurance policies, some insurance companies also individually own their own rules and principles including ethical conducts, but these 5 regulations are - generally what an authentic legitimate insurance policy and company should imbibe.

Apart from advertising and marketing insurance organizations and policies, campaigns , programs and seminars should be set-up to further educate and enlighten the public on the importance and benefits of getting insured, especially for those in under-developed and developing countries. Getting insured is as important as putting one's savings in the bank. 

No matter what part of the world especially in the United States or in developing countries like Nigeria, insuring what you value best is important for all of us.

Standard Newspaper on Monday published the story and misled all of us, LOL. A satirical story that Eritrean men have been ordered to marry at least two wives, which has been shared across Africa has turned out to be FALSE.

"Even a madman in [the Eritrean capital] Asmara would know that this story was not true," an Eritrean official told the BBC.

The hoax was first published online on a Kenyan news site called Crazy Monday. Some men have even declared their readiness to relocate to Eritrea to find a new wife.

Crazy Monday, which is published by the Standard newspaper, is well known for its focus on scandalous stories and gossip as part of an attempt to attract a younger readership, says Mathias Muindi from the BBC's media monitoring service unknown to us.

But this has gone wide in so many African countries with Nigeria and South Africa taking the lead.

As you know, it has been trending on Nigerian Twitter for days with some sharing links to the Eritrea's visa application documents. Some male celebrities have even joked about relocating to Eritrea with so many memes also been passed around.
