U2's longtime tour manager died early Wednesday morning in Los Angeles ... just as the band kicked off a week-long string of concerts in the city. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Dennis Sheehan was found unconscious in his room at the Sunset Marquis Hotel. We're told paramedics were called to Sheehan's hotel room around 5:30 AM for a reported cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Sheehan -- who was in his late 60s -- has been U2's tour manager for more than 30 years. His death came just hours after the curtain went down on U2's first of 5 concerts at the Forum in L.A. Sheehan's been all over the rock n' roll scene since the '70s. In addition to U2 ... he worked with rock legends like Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith and Lou Reed.

Kendrick Lamar and his crew swarmed our photog at LAX ... with hilarious results.  Taylor Swift's new BFF had just arrived when our photog hit him up with a question about Tupac ... but Kendrick turned it around in a big hurry.  Our guy Charlie got fully flustered as Kendrick and company fired off questions. Kendrick's next move was interesting ... he gave Charlie the heads up that Schoolboy Q  was just feet away. Charlie wasn't sure if it was a diversionary tactic, but watch the video. Contrary to popular belief, wearing a huge diamond ring on your left hand doesn't always mean you're engaged.

In a new interview, Meek Mill denies that he and girlfriend Nicki Minaj are preparing to wed.

"[Our relationship] is definitely real, but it ain't really time to get married yet," he tells The Fader for its June/July cover story. "We're still learning each other, feeling each other out."

Minaj, 32, sparked engagement rumors in April when she posted a photo to Instagram of the massive rock Mill, 28, had given her.

This is a sad one,

An ex-vigilante boss identified as Uche (surname withheld) has allegedly killed his girlfriend over a new born baby at the weekend.

Trouble started when the suspect demanded custody of his baby without paying her mother's bride price and her parents refused to release the baby.

The suspect, who was a security man at her street in GRA, Onitsha, fell in love with the girl before he was sacked from the duty in December 2014.



When the parents of the girl asked him to pay the bride price to formalize the marriage, he allegedly brought out a gun and shot the girl in the chest.

Two days to her death, the suspect observed that the parents of the girl were not at home. When he visited their house and met the girl, he wanted to forcibly take the baby but she resisted.

He then collected all her clothes and those of the baby and proceeded to set them ablaze after which he left the house.



Two days later, he visited again and asked the girl to come for a discussion in the compound. As they were walking towards the gate, he turned round and brought out a gun and shot the girl in the chest and fled.

When neighbours came out to ascertain what was happening, they found the girl lying dead at the gate, Leadership News reports.

How time flies! Prince Michael Jackson Jnr was only 12 when his King of Pop dad Michael died. He turned 18 years old last February and was spotted holding a couple of small brown bags in his hand as he stepped out solo in Calabasas, California.

8 Nigerians Nabbed in S.A. For Yahoo Yahoo, Fight Extradition to Face Court in the US (details)

It is no more news that internet scam is an hustle today,

The North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria will hear an application in which eight Nigerians nabbed for a "sweetheart" cyber scam seek to stop the South African government from extraditing them to stand trial in the US.

The matter was on the roll on Tuesday‚ but Judge Elizabeth Kabushi postponed the matter for the preparations of heads of argument by the state and the applicants.

Last week Thursday‚ Judge Kabushi granted an interim order stopping the extradition of the eight. The judge also ordered "the state to immediately take necessary steps to have" Seson Olimede Farin and Femi Alexandra Mewase – who had already been extradited – returned to SA pending the finalisation of the matter.

The Nigerians‚ along with a South African woman‚ were nabbed by the Hawks in April last year in raids conducted in Sunnyside‚ Pretoria. Several other alleged syndicate members were also arrested in the same operation in Canada and the US.

The two-year investigation began after agents from US Homeland Security Investigations were tipped off by a Mississippi woman about a suspicious parcel she had received from Pretoria.

The Mississippi woman had nearly fallen victim to the "sweetheart" scam.

The woman approached the US authorities after she had been told to ship the contents of the parcel back to the address in Pretoria. The investigation revealed that the merchandise was packaged using stolen personal identity information and fraudulent credit card information from a US citizen.

Hundreds of US citizens are believed to have fallen victim to the scam.

According to the Hawks‚ the syndicate has operated for years‚ purchasing shipping labels from the US Postal Service and courier companies using fraudulent credit card information and stolen identities. Once the stolen merchandise reached South Africa‚ the suspects advertised it for sale on the internet.

The accused's lawyer‚ Thesigan Pillay‚ argued in court papers that the magistrate who granted the extradition acted unconstitutionally and unlawfully.

He also contended that there has been a diplomatic failure in terms of co-operation between SA and Nigeria and that the South African suspect was given preferential treatment.

Your foundation against rape – was it borne out of your personal experience about rape?
Yes, I would say to a large extent. It constitutes about 70 per cent of the reasons for floating the foundation. I am not ashamed to say it. That's why I tagged the event, The Morning After. It's a kind of situation that you have the dark side and you believe all hope is lost. So, it's going to be the morning after for all the rape victims that have gone through one or two nasty things.



You're a victim of rape, would you say you have put the traumatic experience behind you?
Very well. I have put it behind me. It's an experience I never thought I would put behind so quickly. I had it at either 16 or 17. I had even started acting. I just started with my teenage talk show. And because it's a first experience, it was nasty. So, my own belief about sexual intercourse was bad. I felt frightened anytime I have a reason to do it.

 

Does that make you have phobia for sex?
Exactly! So, I just had to cope through it. And by the time I came out of it, I came out a better person. It even affected my psyche and confidence because I was always so afraid. When a man discusses relationship with me, I see it like there is trouble. So, at the end of the day I can say conveniently that I have put it behind me. And the person I married today has helped me because I speak about it. If I don't speak about it, there's no how I would come out of it like that.

Each time I speak about it, I am loosening up every form of the pain and guilt and all that because I used to feel guilty that I am the one that caused it to happen to me. And I can tell you authoritatively that I go to a conference to talk about rape, at each time I have had women telling me that either it had happened to them or their children but they don't know how to discuss it with anybody other than their pastors.
