Popular Comedian Arrested For Cracking Derogatory Jokes On President

A popular comedian has been arrested by secret service operatives for making a derogatory joke about the president.

A popular Burundi comedian known as "Kigingi" was arrested this week after poking fun at the president last Friday.

Humorist and Buja FM radio host, Alfred Aubin Mugenzi was arrested on Tuesday evening by Burundi's National Intelligence Service (known by its French acronym, SNR) and charged with insulting President Pierre Nkurunziza.

He was apprehended at a hotel in Muramvya, 50 kilometres (31 miles) east of the capital, while on a promotional tour for a beer company.

"He was transferred to Bujumbura and is being held in the SNR dungeons, but no one has been allowed to see him", said a concerned relative, who did not want to be named for fear of repercussions.

The relative said Mugenzi's family fears the funny man may suffer the same fate as others taken by the SNR, who rights groups say are commonly tortured or simply disappeared. Many hare reported to have died in jail.

The Legit Truth About Wizkid and the 'quit notice' on his Lagos residence

As most of you may already know,

Last week, news broke on social media that Nigerian super star, Wizkid had been allegedly served a 'Quit Notice' by his landlady to vacate his current residence in Lekki, Lagos over unpaid rent. 

Now, we can confirm that it's indeed true.
Here's what we know so far on the developing story…

On January 10, 2013, Wizkid shared the news of moving into a mansion in Lekki.
On April 2, 2015, word got out that he had been served a 'quit notice' over unpaid rent.
Our reporters gathered that his rent had been due since since December 2015 but the starboy refused to renew his rent.
We further learnt that his landlady who is called 'Olori Juliana' has not been able to get through to the singer in the last couple of weeks.

She got even angrier when word got to her that Wizkid and his associates have started moving his things out of the house without paying her rent since December.
The quit notice was issued on Friday, April 1, 2016.
The house is a 4 bedroom duplex located on Ayinde Akinmade street, Lekki Phase 1.

Wizkid is currently on tour and couldn't be immediately reached for comments. In the last one week, he's performed in Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Senegal and still has a couple more countries to tour before he returns home.

Unlucky Lucky Was Busted Qhike Stealing Light Up Lagos Project Cable In Ogudu

Meet 29-year-old Lucky Udeagwu who wasn't so lucky over the weekend after RRS officials on patrol caught up with him while attempting to steal a 35-metre long armoured cable for project Light Up Lagos.

Udeagu was caught at Ogudu area of Lagos with two accomplices who later escaped into the bus around 3am on Saturday.

This is what RRS commander said about the arrest:

Early Saturday morning, we saw Lucky (Udeagwu) and two other guys carrying a big sack coming towards Ogudu bus stop.

Because it is straight road, we could see them from a far. They dropped the bag at the bus stop. "When they sighted RRS vehicle, they took to their heels in different directions. But Lucky was not so lucky; we caught him.

At the time of his arrest, Lucky had screw driver, spanner and other tools in his possession.

 The man pictured above is a Nigerian and was allegedly killed by 3 Congolese and a Tanzanian National whose picture you see after the jump. He was stabbed and killed in Cape Town, South Africa, on March 27th over a misunderstanding. He's originally from Idemili LGA in Anambra State.

His killers are currently on the run. I hear police were notified of the incident and they are hunting for his killers.
