[INTERVIEW] My Lesbian Ordeal - Nollywood Actress Sochima Ezeoke

Dazzling Imo State-born actress, Sochima Ezeoke has narrated her ordeal in the hands of lesbians who allegedly tormented her life for refusing to succumb to their romantic advances. In a new interview with the Sun, Sochima said it got to a point that her life was in danger, as the unrepentant lesbians vowed to kill her before her last birthday last year. Excerpts:

Okay, what was the biggest price you have paid in Nollywood as an actress?

I would just say that it has not been easy coping with the demands.

Do you mean professional demands or demands from the opposite sex?

I believe that nothing good in life comes easy. But I am grateful to God that I returned to the industry after taking some time off and I was embraced immediately as if I never took a break.

I hear that lesbians hardly take their eyes off pretty girls like you. Have they ever 'toasted' you in the industry?

I have experienced it severally both in and outside the industry. It got to a point that they threatened to blackmail me or kill me if I refuse to yield. They would call me and say that if I refuse to succumb to their advances, they would sponsor damaging publications against me. I took it as empty threats until they started sponsoring unspeakable publications against me on social media. They even turned it to be that I was the one wooing girls to be my lovers.

Why did they go to the extent of threats and blackmails?

I think it was as a result of an interview that I granted a certain Kenyan journalist in Kenya. After the interview was published, a lot of people who saw it were calling to commend me. But these people were pissed off. They were like, 'Okay, you think you are the only good girl in Nollywood? There is nothing like good girl in Nollywood. If you don't join us, we will deal with you'.

They were calling me and sending text messages, sometimes anonymous, and my brother kept replying them. In fact, they even threatened to kill me before I celebrated my last birthday in October 2014. And at a time, I had to even dump Facebook. But seeing that all their evil plots failed, they recently started apologising through calls and text messages secretly.

Why didn't you give in to save your life?

Sochima can't! I will never do that in my life. I grew up in a Catholic family where we were taught to stay off sin that would prevent us from receiving the Holy Communion every Sunday. I grew up with that consciousness – always working on it and looking forward to receive the Holy Communion on Sunday. Even at the university, I kept on pushing for that. But as a beautiful girl, like you earlier described me, it was not easy. But I kept pushing on.

What was the cause of your rift with Duncan Mighty?

I don't understand.

There was a rumour that both of you dated and he impregnated you, but he later dumped you, which led you to abort his baby. What actually happened between both of you?

Hmm… thank you for this opportunity. Naturally, I am not the type that responds to rumours just because some haters have something to beef about. The truth is that none of such rumours occurred. Being an actress does not stop you from having friends. But I never dated Duncan Mighty, let alone pregnant for him; and I was never dumped.

I am not yet married; I never had a baby and I cannot imagine myself aborting a baby under any circumstance, when several women are dying to have one. So, the evil rumour was the handiwork of jobless rumour mongers. I'm sure they are getting set to cook up more rumours to peddle against me, but I have a message for them: I am yet to unleash my innate abilities on the screen, which will make me to soar to a record height. And I will never back down just because of someone that is making money or gaining evil satisfaction from lies and cheap rumour.

President Buhari Traces Stolen Govt. Funds to UK, Switzerland,U.S,Dubai,S.A

The Federal Government has started tracing looted Nigerian funds to foreign nations with the aim of recovering and repatriating them.

This move came on the heels of the declaration by President Muhammadu Buhari on his first day in Aso Villa office that he inherited an almost empty treasury from his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, thus vowing that his administration would recover all the looted funds stashed in foreign banks by corrupt Nigerians. The FG is now specifically targeting the United States, the United
Kingdom, France, Switzerland and other European jurisdictions where it believes corrupt officials have been stashing public funds.
"The next three months may be hard, but billions of dollars can be recovered, and we will do our best," the President was quoted as saying in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
Some of the countries where looted funds from Nigeria have been kept in the past include Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Others are France, Germany, British Virgin Islands and other tax havens spread across the globe.

Adesina, who confirmed the move in an exclusive interview with Saturday PUNCH on Thursday, said, the search for the looted funds will not be limited to these countries but anywhere in the world where they may be hidden.

And that the Federal Government is planning to engage the services of foreign private investigators to help trace and find looted funds belonging to the people of Nigeria.
"Everything that needs to be done to get all those funds repatriated will be done, including engaging private investigators," the Presidential spokesperson added.
Adesina said the identification of foreign banks being used to stash stolen funds was one of the mandates given to Buhari during a meeting he had with President Barak Obama at the recent G-7 summit in Germany. He said,
"When the President met with the G7, the promise that the American President gave him was that Nigeria should just provide all the facts, the figures, the statistics, including the banks. He promised that if Nigeria could make the information available, then the US will help in recovering the stolen funds."
When asked specifically if the Federal Government had started identifying the banks, the presidential spokesman said:
"Yes. In fact, the President said the government will spend the next three months identifying banks, individuals and monies that have been ferried out of this country.
"The assurance the President has given is that within the next three months, we have to concentrate on getting those monies back to the government coffers," he added.
Saturday PUNCH learnt that the Federal Government may also go after property owned by public fund looters in London, Dubai, US, Saudi Arabia and other choice international real estate markets where Nigerians are known to be some of the biggest buyers.

It was also learnt that the Department for International Development, a UK government department responsible for administering overseas aid, had alerted the President on over N1.3tn stolen during the last administration, where it is kept and who the beneficiaries are.

This money, a source close to the DFID said, is a low hanging fruit that the President can pluck during his first six months in the office with the help of the UK, US, and other G7 members without hassle.
"This was one of the agreement reached between President Buhari and the G7 countries when the former attended their meeting in Germany," the DFID source told Saturday PUNCH.
The US in March 2014 had ordered a freeze on $458m in assets stolen by the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, and his accomplices. Abacha died in office in 1998.

The US Justice Department named two bank accounts in the Bailiwick of Jersey and two other accounts in France as depositories of $313m and $145m Abacha loot respectively. Four other investment portfolios and three bank accounts in Britain were also frozen, with an estimated value of at least $100m.

The US also named nine financial institutions – Citibank, Chase Manhattan Bank and Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, now JPMorgan Chase, and New York-based units of Britain's Barclays Bank and Germany's Commerz bank – as places where some of the Abacha loots were laundered.

Similarly, the Crown Prosecution Service in the United Kingdom had estimated former governor of Delta State, James Onanefe Ibori's loot stolen to be around $250m.

Ibori, who is serving jail term for corruption charges in a UK prison, was said to have bought six property in London, including a six-bedroom house with indoor pool in Hampstead for £2.2m and a flat opposite the nearby Abbey Road recording studios. There was also a property in Dorset, a £3.2m mansion in South Africa and further real estate in Nigeria.

He also owned a fleet of armoured Range Rovers costing £600,000, a £120,000 Bentley, a £300,000 Mercedes Maybach, and a private jet for £12m.

President Buhari said the last administration mismanaged the economy while stating that it was a disgrace that state governments in the country can't pay salaries; hence, the need to recover looted funds wherever they may be hidden.

When asked if she would eventually reconcile with her ex, Alex said:
"No. I don't think so. I think he has moved on and I've moved on as well. So, I'm not thinking towards that direction anymore. I think the most important thing is for us to remain parents to our child. I'm not interested in being a couple. I just want everybody to play their roles. That's all. You can never stop being a parent, be it a father or a mother to your child, but you can stop being a wife or a husband.

Alex claimed she is not in a relationship at the moment. She said,

"I'm married to my work. My focus at the moment is working on my purpose and building on my career. I was distracted for a long time. At such times, you get married, have a child and focus on your child, but when that is out, I have another focus. Right now, my focus is on my child and my career. Every other thing is by the way."

Alex claimed she has been celibate for a long time but she is done with it and is ready to date again.

"I've been separated for so long but a lot of people didn't know until recently that it came out in the papers. So, I'm absolutely done with my break, but I'm not in a relationship. I've moved on since then. It's possible to be on a break, and at the same time be focused on your work. You may not be in a serious relationship with someone but then, you are having a casual relationship with someone or you are seeing someone once in a while. 

I'm very open to dating but I'm not in a relationship with anybody. Right now, my focus is on my work but that doesn't mean that if somebody that I like or get along with comes, I won't give attention. I'll definitely be open to that. So, I've gone past my break," she said.

John the baptist in Luke 3:7-9 was warning the people to escape from the wrath to come, one would wonder if the loving and compassionate God would also be willing to destroy and punish the earth in his anger and how terrible and fierce it would be.
In Psalm 9:17, the Bible says "the wicked shall be turned to hell and all nations that forget God" and in the day of His wrath the scripture really emphasized that even strong men shall cry bitterly because of the punishment and suffering that shall come on them. (Zeph. 1:14-18).

In those days, people shall weep and gnash their teeth; they shall look for death and be willing to die but it shall not come. You remember the days of Noah, God wiped out humanity. God regreted that He had created man because of the wickedness of man. (Genesis 6). God wiped out completely the whole world and spared only 8 people. If He could do that before, He can do it again.(Heb 13:8), but because of Grace(Jesus) that came into the world,(John 1:16-17) man has been spared for sometime to repent, it is not the desire of God that anyone should perish but to come to absolute repentance.(2 Peter 3:9-12). God is the God of LOVE. But Nobody can withstand God's wrath, God's anger. This is the explanation of Rev. 15:7. God is the God of mercy, God of Love aswell as The God of righteous judgement and God is also the CONSUMING FIRE(Heb 12:29)

THE PUNISHMENT...
GOD will punish sinners if they refuse to repent. He will cast into hell fire those who ignore the truth and forsake righteousness. (Rev 20:15). He will no longer appear merciful but fearful and dreadful because He had spoken to them to repent, gave them enough time but they wouldn't.

Dear reader, it is wise for you to do all you can to escape from the wrath of the Almighty that is to come upon sinners. He will punish men and deal with them brutally for commiting sin: fornication, drunkenness, adultery, hooliganism, thuggery, stealing, covetousness, bribery, kidnapping, fraud, prostitution, lying, gossiping,immorality, etc.
If you belong to any of this group, such that are not even mentioned be sure that you cannot escape this wrath of God if you do not repent!

THE WAY OUT:
But all the same. God is a righteous judge. He will not punish anybody unjustly, without giving warnings or a way of escape. That was why He sent Jesus the Saviour as the way of escape. "He that believes on JESUS has everlasting life,(John 3:16) but he that doesn't believe on the son shall not see life but the wrath of God abides in him."(John 3:18-20). Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart today. (Rev 3:20), why not open to Him now. Do not delay! The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). How then shall you escape this wrath if you neglect this great salvation offered by Jesus? (Heb 2:1-3).

MAKING A RIGHT CHOICE:
Dear friend, heaven and hell is real. Do not harden your heart today as you hear the message of salvation once again right now (Heb 3:7-8). Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today. Confess your sins, he will forgive you (1John 1:8-9). But you must repent before you confess! It is only when you have repented you can then be forgiven, if not your prayer of forgiveness will be in vain, why? Because you have not made that decision to stop sinning and follow the way of Christ. Salvation is not making a new year's resolution, what about the ones you made at the beginning of the year, how many have you been able to keep? You want to make new ones? That is not salvation. Come to Jesus today and be saved. i believe within me, that today you will not harden your heart. Jesus said "Repent, i tell you now; but except you repent, you will likewise perish" (Luke 13:5). Repent and confess your sins now, ask the Lord to forgive you and make that decision now never to return to them again. Ask the blood of Jesus to wash you clean now, that blood that was shed for everyone on the cross of calvary. Then ask the Holy Spirit to take over your life (John 7:37-39). Then you will be free! Free from the wrath to come. Hell is real, i know you wouldn't want to go there, make that decision

now! Don't wait for tomorrow. Death doesn't give any notice before he visits anyone. Remember, after death there is no more repentance for anyone(Heb 9:27).

Now that you still have the chance which many have lost, why not make the best use of it now. Some moments from now may be too late!
