Wizkid Signs R2bees, Efya, Mr Eazi To StarBoy Worldwide (Photos)

Wizkid has signed Ghanaian heavyweights R2bees,Efya and new kid on the block, Mr Eazi, to Starboy Worldwide! He made the announcement immediately after performing at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards #VGMAs2016, also adding that Paedae of R2bees aka Omar Sterling, is the President of the newly-expanded Starboy imprint.

See the tweets below.

A couple of months ago, Efya was pictured in a studio with Wizkid in California. Most people thought they were just making music together, not knowing this bombshell was in the pipeline. Wizkid also teased a remix to Mr Eazi's hit single "Skin Tight" on Snapchat sometime in April. Even with that, no one saw this coming.

Let's hope this megadeal is the start of a new movement that'll take Nigerian and Ghanaian music to new heights.

INTERVIEW!! I can’t remember my life before l met my husband – Sonia IK Ogbonna

Actor IK Ogbonna's wife Sonia Ogbonna spoke to Punch yesterday and gushed about how much IK has changed her life ever since she met him.

Excerpts:

Background:
I am a blogger, life coach, relationship expert and a public relations executive at Motherland
Beckons. I was born into a Hispanic/Latin-American family but I grew up in Belgrade, Serbia (former Yugoslavia). I got a scholarship to study at the University of Belgrade in 2009 and I studied Psychology and Sociology. I am currently studying for a master's degree in Development of Third World Countries.

Relocation
I came to Nigeria with an open mind. I was ready to learn new things and fall in love with the culture, food, language, fashion and history.

Meeting my husband
I am married to a Nollywood actor, Ik Ogbonna and a mutual friend introduced him to my Instagram page. He got my Blackberry Messenger pin and the first message he sent to me was "Hello my wife." At that time, we were continents away from each other, but that didn't discourage him. It took him three weeks to convince me to visit Nigeria. We both followed our hearts and made the impossible quite easy. He told me he knew from the very start that I was his missing rib and that I would become his wife. I guess what is meant to be will always be.

Marriage
I have found marriage to be just a piece of paper that could mean a lot, but at the same time it could mean nothing. What really matters is the type of relationship you have with your partner. Ik changed my life moments after I met him. He always brings the best out of me. I became more confident, ambitious, wiser and happier. It feels like I can't remember my life before him.

Motherhood
Motherhood is a very powerful experience. I am grateful for having a child with the love of my life, someone who adores me and genuinely cares about me. A lot of people don't get to experience that.

Privacy

The idea of me being open about my experiences and writing about them on my blog is to let people know that they are not alone and that nothing is as dramatic as it might seem. People are scared of making their weaknesses known. Most of us suffer in silence and feign perfection. It is not a sin to feel pain, doubts, powerless, anxiety or frustration.

Criticisms

On social media platforms, I receive tons of beautiful, supporting, motivating and encouraging messages from amazing people on a daily basis, that it would be such a shame if I chose to focus on negative, petty little comments instead. However, I do not take it personal– people are mean to others when they are unhappy with their own lives and when they live in pain. It has nothing to do with me.

Charity

I've been involved in charity since 2009. I started as a Red Cross volunteer . Since I came to Nigeria, I have  been  involved in some educational projects in Lagos State.

Beauty

I drink about three to five litres of water  every day. I love food, but I try not to eat after 8pm. I do a set of abs workouts every morning. I do not use creams; just raw, organic coconut oil, olive oil and shea butter.

Style

My style depends on my mood. Lately, I have been obsessed with ankara designs. But generally, I love simplicity and classic pieces.

Rashidi Yekini's mum is NOT facing hard times - Lawyer slams viral photo

Rashidi Yekini's people have slammed reports and this viral photo of Rashidi's mum looking so improverished and hawking bread, saying Yekini's mum is not facing hard times.

According to them, Rashidi Yekini completed Four blocks of flat for his mother Sikiratu Yekini plus warehouse at Ilorin years before his death. Shes comfortable. And that yes, this picture of her selling bread is true but it's an old picture. She still sells bread and minerals though to keep busy but not struggling.

Rashidi Yekini's two daughters are the ones that need help for school fees, one is in Leicester University and one in Kwara State University

Read the statement Rashidi Mohammed, Rashidi's lawyer released yesterday.

Contrary to the widespread rumor trending on the social media where Rashidi Yekini's mother Sikiratu Yekini is seen standing an impoverished woman hawking bread for survival, I have to come out strongly to condemn in strong terms the malicious attempt by the uninformed sets of people who are set to tarnish the good image of late Rashidi Yekini as a prodigal son who never took care of his family especially his mother.

Attached to this mail are the pictures of the 4 flats of 3 bedrooms each with 4 Boys Quarters of 2 rooms each built at the back of the building which was built by Yekini for his mother before he died. Yekini`s mother had always been a petty trader even when her son was alive.

"This background building of Yekini`s mother picture trending online is actually a garage in the 4 flats built by my late client in Ijagbo few kilometer to Offa and about 9 kilometers away from his village, Ira. Even before the demise of Rashidi, the woman had always been in charge of the rent of the building which runs into to several hundreds of thousands of naira without Rashidi interfering.

Block of flats reportedly built for Rashidi Yekini's mother by the later soccer player

The Boy`s quarters at the back of the main building as at 2006 was around N48,000.00  each, while each 3 bedroom flat in the main building goes for about N80,000.00 each or more  which brought her annual income from rent of the building to about half a million naira despite the fact that Rashidi was always sending pocket money to her and her siblings. Apart from this, Rashidi made sure he empowered his entire sibling by opening one of the best hairdressing saloons for his late sister, late Rofiat, who also died in 2014.

Akeem (his younger brother) was not left out of Rashidi`s generosity as he bought 18 seater bus for him among many things I do not want to mention in this forum. I wonder where did the writer got the impression that Rashidi ever neglected his mother.

Even after the death of Rashidi, nobody, not even his two daughters have ever interfered on who takes the rent. Not even the ex-wives, on behalf of their respective daughters ever query the mother about the income from the building. I wonder how she is now starving.

Two of her children are dead (Rashidi and Rofiat) leaving only Ismaila and Akeem. Ismaila is based in Kaduna with his family. While Hakeem is the only person living with her with his wife. How is she starving? Can an old woman exhaust over half a million on feeding alone in a year?

I am not against any further assistance by any well meaning Nigerian to her, but I owe my late client the duty to set the record straight and because of the negative reactions on social media especially through SaharaReporters, which portray Rashidi as an irresponsible son, who never cared about his family.

I am seriously upset about the impression being created by the people who have read the unfortunate story. The gospel and the uncontroverted truth is that Rashidi made adequate provision for his mother. The questions that we should be asking is how are his two daughters faring and who is responsible for their education and upkeep.

Na wa o!! This Nigerian guy shared after-sex pic of himself & girlfriend, The Bed though 😁😁

An unashamed Ben Uzoigwe shared this pic of himself & girl on his Facebook page and said:

Tiwa Savage’s N75Million Mansion At Haven Homes Richmond Gate Estate In Lekki Lagos Locked Up(Photos)

Mavin songstress Tiwa Savage is among the top celebrities living at Richmond Gate Estate in Lekki Lagos, a serene estate by Haven Homes at Ikate Elegushi area of Lekki Lagos.

From the gate of the estate, one can see rows of beautiful houses in the estate.

Two security men decked in well-starched uniform stand sentry at the gate.

As The Sun crew approached, one of them walked towards the team and popped the question: "Please who do you want to see."

He was told that the team was going see a resident of the estate, but he demanded that the person should be called on the phone before the team would be granted entry. When the many pleas of the team fell on deaf ears, The Sun crew then disclosed its mission: to see Tiwa Savage. And that instantly made him very unfriendly, and asked to know whether there was an appointment with her.

"Oga, you can't see anyone in this estate except you call the person on phone and he or she must tell us to allow you in. Every occupant has their instruction and Tiwa Savage has given us instruction not to let anybody that comes to look for her into the estate without her permission," the gatekeeper said with a tone of finality.

After the encounter with the gatekeeper, The Sun crew struck up a conversation with a middle-aged man seen some meters away from the gate, wanting to ascertain whether the songstress actually lives in the estate.

He said: "I am allowed to enter this estate because I work there. Tiwa Savage stays here but I haven't seen her since the information about her marriage crisis went viral on the internet. I got to know about it like every other person.

"I saw her with her husband in December last year inside a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV. Her husband was driving the vehicle out of the estate. Sometimes when I see her, I will wave at her and she would wave back. Apart from that, I don't have a personal relationship with her."

The worker explained that some other artistes also live in the estate: "Tiwa Savage is not the only artiste staying in this estate. We have Iyanya, Timaya, MI, AY (comedian) and others living here. Even TuFace Idibia has a house here and his wife, Annie Macaulay comes here regularly.

He added: "Some occupants of the estate bought land and built duplexes on it while others bought semi-detached duplex from the company that manages the estate. "
