Breaking: JAMB Withdraws 2016 Admission List.

This is kind of ridiculous, 

We just  received report that JAMB has withdrawn the list of recommended candidates for admission earlier sent to the tertiary institutions.

They said this is to ensure that the University Senate perform its statutory responsibility of conducting the selection of candidates and refer it to JAMB for confirmation in line with the admission criteria of merit, catchment and educationally disadvantaged states.

Candidates should not panic because this is part of the process of the 2016 admission exercise. JAMB regrets any inconvenience this decision would have caused the tertiary institutions.

The bottom line is this though. No matter what Mandela did and no matter what anybody thought of him, the moment he died he found himself facing the sovereign Creator of the Universe who is the all-seeing and all-knowing Judge of the souls of men.

Mandela crossed the line into eternity without having ever placed his faith in Christ alone, by grace through faith alone, and been brought to repent and confess his sins before a holy, righteous God, therefore he is paying the ultimate penalty for his sins in hell forever. He did not go to hell because he was a terrorist, a Marxist, or a Communist. He was sent to hell because of his rejection of Jesus Christ. And i saw him myself in hell with my spiritual eye, said Prophet TB Joshua addressing thousands of his disciples.

This is not something we rejoice in, but it does serve as a warning to all those who think they can mock God and get away with it. Amazing Facts About '' Manute Bol'' The Tallest Basket baller In History at 7.7ft (Photos)

Ever since I heard about this amazing and phenomenal athlete I have spent a lot of time doing research and gathering information about him.

Manute Bol was one of the tallest players in NBA history and a political activist in Africa. He was born in Sudan in 1962 in the Dinka tribe. He lived in Sudan for most of his childhood and teenage years. He tended cattle for his family as a young boy and there is a popular story that he often used to relate during interviews about how he had once killed a lion with a spear back in Sudan. Bol was 7 ft 7 in tall, which was not unusual for where he came from. His tribes people are amongst the tallest populations of the world and his family members were all exceptionally tall. His father was 6 ft 8 in, his mother was 6 ft 10 in and his great grandfather was 7 ft 10 in tall.

Bol began to play basketball at the age of 15. He held a job in the Sudanese military, playing on their national team. During one his games, an American coach from Fairleigh Dickinson University noticed him and advised him to go to the United States to play for the NBA. Bol went to the United States to try his luck but as an underweight, lanky kid he did not have much luck. He tried to enroll at college but his unfamiliarity with Western culture and poor English skills did not get him admission. So he worked on his physique and began training hard and enrolled for additional English classes at the ELS Language Centers. In the 1985 NBA Draft, he was selected to play for the Washington Bullets. He first played with them from 1985 to 1988, during which time he set the NBA rookie record for most number of blocked shots. He later returned to the Washington Bullets in 1993-1994 to help train Gheorghe Mureșan, a 7 ft 7 in tall Romanian who was new to the game.

After leaving the Bullets, Bol played with the Golden State Warriors between 1988 to 1990, the Philadelphia 76ers between 1990 to 1993 and the Miami Heat between 1993-1994. He made brief returns to each of these teams until his retirement after a 10 year career in 1996. He wore size 16 and a half sneakers and was extremely agile. During the 1987 season, Bol, at that time the tallest player in the NBA, played alongside Muggsy Bogues, the shortest NBA player at the time, measuring 5 ft 3 in. Bol was never a high scorer despite the considerable advantage of his height. However, he was extremely skilled at blocking shots, and is ranked 14th on the NBA list of most shots blocked.

Off the court, Bol was known for being an avid social activist. He visited Sudanese refugee camps, established a foundation for their betterment and donated huge amounts to construct schools and promote education in Southern Sudan, where he hailed from. He even campaigned for one of the Presidential candidates in Sudan and was generally very concerned about the welfare of his people.

Bol was a well read and intelligent man, and although he knew very little English when he first came to America, he readily remedied that and became very well versed with the language. He had a pleasant personality and was well liked by his teammates. He died in June 2010 due to kidney failure and complications from a rare skin disorder. He was 47 years old at the time of his death and is survived by his wife and ten children.

FCMB Top manager shot himself dead infront of priest over bad Huge bank loan

This is not the first time people commit suicide to escape heavy bad realities,  but is it always a wise escape?

A Manager at a second generation bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Plc, Mr. Olisa Nwakoby on Friday evening shot himself dead in the presence of his Priest at the Lekki area of Lagos Island, Lagos State.

The father of a 10-year- old daughter was said to have taken his own life because of an incriminating huge loan transaction he approved in his bank.

Sources close to the family told Sunday Telegraph at the weekend that the late Olisa was the approving officer for the loan which the beneficiary is no longer servicing and the bank was on the
neck of Olisa to get the money back.

His late father, Chief Patrick Oguejiofor Nwakoby was a former chairman of First Bank of Niger Plc, a successfully lawyer , politician and a highly respected community leader before his death.

Fear over his integrity and the name of his family, which could be dented if his bank commences action against him over the loan, was too much for the vibrant banker to bear prompting him to shoot himself, New Telgraph reports their source told them.

Our source did not say that there was suspicion of any foul play in the death of the banker, she also could not confirm the actual amount involved in the transaction, but she simply said "it was huge." The case is being handled by homicide detectives attached to Area J Command, Lekki/Ajah. According to a police source.
The banks, on the fateful day he killed himself, went to meet his pastor. He told the pastor to tell his wife to take good care of his children, that what he would do in next few minutes would shock everyone. He was said to have later blown his brains out.

The source continued,
"It was later discovered that he took money from the bank, N350million, and the money started creating problems for him. He killed himself.
When the Lagos State Police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmus, was contacted, her two lines were switched off.

Meet 17-year old Nigerian that raised N1.4 million for a Charity Foundation selling Arts

Kamal Kadiri recently raised over one million Naira through his photography exhibition and he gave the money to charity.

He donated the proceeds from the exhibition to Hearts of Gold Children's Hospice in Surulere. Hearts of Gold Children's hospice is home to several children who were abandoned as kids because of one birth defect or the other.

Talking about why he chose to donate the money to charity, Kamal shares a story from when he was 14 years old and at BIS in Lagos. After a visit to the hospice, he knew he had to use his privileges to make a difference.

Currently a rising senior at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville Connecticut, USA, Kamal shared with BN his inspiration for holding a photography exhibition and why he decided to dedicate the money from the exhibition to the Hearts of Gold Children's Hospice in Surulere, Lagos.

"Several years ago my passion for photography was fully realized when I received my first professional camera as a Christmas present and, this ever-growing passion has been one of several contributing driving factors behind my exhibition.

In order for one to fully understand the inner workings of my mind that created this exhibition, one needs to understand my prior experiences with the Hearts of Gold Children's Hospice as well as my appreciation of female strength, which lead me to exhibition's theme.

Before I started attending The Hotchkiss School, in Lakeville, Connecticut, I was enrolled at the British International School, Lagos. During my third year in 'BIS', our religious studies class began reading about biblical suffering; however our over-privileged minds could not fully comprehend the misfortune that these people had faced. In order to gain a firm understanding of this idea, our teacher decided to coordinate a visit to the Hearts of Gold Children's Hospice in Surulere, Lagos.

As soon as my fellow classmates and I entered the hospice's dormitories we were awestruck; we encountered a plethora of children abandoned by their parents due to their disabilities. While some of my peers simply looked away, I reciprocated the smiles the children greeted us with and feigned a sense of comfort and happiness.

At that moment, my fourteen-year-old self saw face-to-face what some people go their entire lives without seeing: the extent of life's inequity. As soon as I had that epiphany, I made a vow to help those I meet in my life who have not received the amount same blessings as I have.

Looking back at this experience, it only seemed fitting that I made my exhibition charitable and donated the proceeds the Children's Hospice.

Afterwards, deciding on a theme was quite simple; I chose to capture 'the essence of a woman' because of my close relationship with my mother. Growing up, I constantly watched my mum make tremendous sacrifices and even when she would deprive herself of certain things in order to make me happy, she would still maintain a cheerful demeanor.

My mum inspired me and showed me the lengths which mothers go through for their children; regardless of the magnitude of the sacrifice they make, women still manage to stay happy, it is their true enduring, light-hearted nature.

Combining my passion of photography with my influential life experiences to make this exhibition a reality has proved to be a true reflective and rewarding experience. During the exhibition, I was so content when I saw so many women pleased with their portraits and, I felt even more delighted when I realized the extent to which the funds I raised would impact the lives of the children at the Hospice."

Located in the capital city of the Philippines, the living conditions are so harsh that some prisoners do not even have enough space to sleep on the floor.
Instead, prisoners are forced to take turns to lie down.

One prisoner - Raymund Narag - was 20 when he was sent to the jail after being convicted of murdering a young man.

He served seven years in the prison, and have since spoken out about the conditions there.

Mr Narag claims he shared one cell with 30 others, living on a diet of dried fish.

Speaking of life behind bars, he has previously said: "I saw firsthand the intricacies of managing a crowded, underfunded, undermanned prison institution."

Jess from Lakeland, Florida, has been reported to act like an adult baby, she is seen wearing baby nappies, drinks from a feeding bottle in a bid to make peace with her troubled childhood.

The Cross River state police command has arrested an ss2 student who allegedly doubles as the leader of a robber gang.

19-year-old Christian Donatus, a student of the Eastern secondary school, Ediba, Calabar, reportedly robbed a store belonging to former Cross River first lady, Obioma Imoke.

Donatus, an Imo state indigene, alongside his gang members raided the the Value Mart two weeks before they were apprehended by the police.

One of his accomplices identified as Ubong Bassey Essien was also paraded before newsmen at the police station.

According to the Cross River state police public relations officer, Miss Irene Ugbo, the gang had been terrorizing the city, breaking into homes and shops and robbing people of their valuables.

Here's what he said below:

"The gang shot a medical doctor at Akim Qua three weeks ago and also carted away safes at a shop along Marian Road, containing large sums of money. The suspect and one of his members were arrested on July 16 by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. Efforts have been intensified to track down four other members of the gang who are on the run and we hope that very soon they will be arrested and brought to book."

A man allegedly beat his wife to stupor then used pliers to cut off part of her ear.

According to OAP Kemisola Adeyemi who shared the photos online, the woman, pictured has been suffering spousal abuse for a long time. At a point her husband, who is reportedly a UNIBEN lawyer beat her just shortly after she had her baby through Ceaserian operation and she has to be rushed back to the hospital. Now she wants a divorce and even the lawyers are afraid to defend her because of the threats her husband has been making towards them.

I don't understand why people remain in abusive marriages. Lord knows I can't.

As the value of the Naira against the dollar continues on a steady decline, AlikoDangote, president of Dangote group, has dropped off the list of the 100 richest people in the world.

Dangote was the 51st richest man in the world as at March 2016, but he had dropped to 101 as at the start of business on Monday.

Dangote, who owns the second largest sugar-refinery in the world, remains richer than Donald Trump, American billionaire presidential candidate, and Oprah Winfrey, US TV personality, who dubs as the second richest black woman in the world.

Dangote is now worth $11.1 billion, while Trump and Oprah are estimated at $4.5 billion and $3.1 billion, respectively.

The fall in the naira, as against the dollar, from about 198 to about 300, has eroded about a quarter of Dangote's wealth, as he commits to investing heavily in Africa's largest economy, Nigeria.

At the launch of the new foreign exchange regime on June 23, 2016, Dangotefell from 46 on the world billionaire list to 71, and has continued in that manner with the naira plunge.

According to Bloomberg billionaires, Dangote, who was worth $15.4 billion (N3.05 trillion) in March, is now worth $11.1 billion (N3.3 trillion) —richer in naira, but poorer in dollars.

When you are made to belive that your divine and sole purpose is to make babies and that all there is to you is your virgina....it's a lie.

When you are told that ambition is bad and a show of Strength is repulsive to the man....it's a lie.

When you are told that you should be confined to a small corner, a taped box and should not pursue your dreams because he feels threatened....It's a lie.

Sometimes you just wonder the instinct that commands certain actions,

A woman has been arrested for allegedly dumping her two-hour-old newborn baby inside a plastic bag and leaving the tot to die.

The 20-year-old mother is thought to have been uncertain about who the child's father was and decided to abandon it because she did not have a stable income.

The abandoned pink plastic bag was reportedly spotted in Wangjiaoqiao village, south-west China, by
locals who were shocked to find the newborn inside.

The child, whose gender was not reported, was rushed to hospital by police for emergency treatment. But doctors could not save the baby's life despite four hours of desperate attempts to revive the tot.

Investigators who watched surveillance footage from the village discovered that the child was carried across town by a woman wearing a red coat and black trousers who later discarded the bag a distance from her home in a random spot.

After police located her home and arrested her, she reportedly confessed to abandoning the child just two hours after giving birth.

But she gave no clear reason behind her actions, refusing or not knowing how to answer questions regarding the infant's father.

It is not yet known whether the child died before or after being abandoned and left exposed to the elements.

If found to have murdered her baby before discarding it, Wang will be subject to further charges on top of those she currently faces,
