Why i became born-again -Lynxxx

The Nigerian rapper, known for his bad-boy attitude and swag, has given reasons why he finally decided to turn away from his past perverse living into a more spiritual and Holy one. Lynxxx have decided to dive into gospel rap, as part of his born-again agenda

The music star opened up on his new found spirituality during a recent appearance on Frankly Speaking With Jola Sotubo. He said:

"I just became more spiritual, I just decided to focus on the more important things in life over the frivolous and fleeting things, "I'm in a space where if it doesn't matter to me, it doesn't matter, because at the end of the day we're all getting older, and life is moving for everybody. Whether I'm a musician or not, real life is happening.

"It's only right to take that step…I've played enough in my life, I've enjoyed enough in my life, I've done the wrong things enough in my life so it's time to really focus on the things that matter, things that will grow you and prosper you rather than things that will eventually bring you down." he added.

Nigerian singer Skales arrested for fraud.

Nigerian rapper/singer Skales who was reportedly arrested alongside his manager Osagie, were both accused of committing fraud against his record label, Baseline Records. The duo were accused of also diverting the funds meant for the record label.

According to an insider who is identified as Wale Ewedemi, the duo had confessed to taking over 10million Naira from the label.

Here's what he said:

"Skales and His Manager Osagie have been remanded in Police Custody after confessing to various charges of fraud and diversion of Baseline Records funds.They are currently assisting the Police in unraveling the extent of the fraud. Running into tens of millions of naira.

At the inception of the contract, he was given a fully furnished luxury apartment in Lekki in a gated estate, with a brand new customized SUV. And a multi-million Naira sign on Fee. The record label also gave him a free hand to select and run his brand, supported by a multi million Naira corporate expense account. Skales behavior has reduced the appetite of the Record label to assist other young talents to achieve their full potential."

Herbalist swindles banker of N2.5m in Lagos

According to a report by Punch Newspaper, Olufokunbi has admitted fleecing the banker whose name was simply given as Lekan, to the tune of N2.5m.

The 33-year-old fake herbalist said he sold herbs to Lekan before he approached to help increase his fortune and he in turn requested for the money which will be used to prepare a special soap that will increase the banker's fortune in two days.

In his account to the men of the Nigerian Police Force, Olufokunbi said, "I have known Lekan for a long time and he is my customer. He was initially patronising me for herbs for his ailment."

Speaking further, he said, 'But he later approached me for money ritual, saying the money he was making as a banker was not enough for him. I said I could do it if he could give me N2.5m. He brought the money and I gave him a bar of soap.

'I told him to keep the soap in a box for two days, after which he should check the box and he would see a lot of money. He did that, but it failed, he then reported me to the police, who arrested me,' he revealed.

Lekan was reported to have petitioned the Lagos State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad in February 2016 after the money magic was said to have failed and Olufokunbi was trailed and arrested at his base in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Professor of Applied Zoology, Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Stephen Oluwagbemiga, gave the advice at the annual lecture of the National Association of Zoology Students, University of Ilorin on Friday.

Mr. Oluwagbemiga, who cautioned Nigerians against feeding too much on junk foods, said the advice was necessary because many people were deficient in calcium.

He said inadequate calcium in the body could adversely affect how peoples' hearts and other vital parts of the body worked or functioned.

Stressing the need for people to increase their calcium in-take by eating crayfish, snails and biscuit bones, Mr. Oluwagbemiga said this was one of the ways to stay healthy.

The varsity don, who was speaking on the topic "Relevance of Zoology in Contemporary Nigeria" said Zoologists had been involved in solving some of the nation's complex health problems in recent times including the effects of guinea worm infection, sleeping sickness and mosquito bites.

The Kwara State's Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mahmud Ajeigbe, praised the students for organising the lecture, and urged them to face their studies at all times to realise the objectives of their being set to school.

Mr. Ajeigbe also charged them to cultivate the habit of reading widely in order to broaden their knowledge and excel in all fields of human endeavours. (NAN)
