WISDOM!! ''Women Should Use their 20s to Build a Career & Not Chase Love'' - Wendy Williams

Young girls should take note of these words of wisdom, apart from the fact that wendy is a mother and wife she is also one of the most successful career lady alive

Who else agrees with Wendy on this one? Forbes recently sat down with the 50 year old opinionated, envelope-pushing styled gossip talk show host to discuss her views on career, success and why women, not men, are the ones to lose out in marriage. And according to Wendy, women shouldn't chase love in their 20s, a practice all of us indulge in.

Wendy said:
"My suggestion to women is always…use your entire 20s to work your behind off in your career… And then think about meeting that guy. Cause we're the ones that lose in marriage. Not men.

It is difficult for men to accept really successful career women. Whether it be that we out-earn them or that our name is brighter than theirs.  I also feel like marriage and babies stunt a woman's growth career-wise…Once you get married and have kids, you can't do all the things that you used to do and maintain this important precious thing that you built as a family."
You agree with her?

See Some Ridiculous Reasons Why People Look For JOB

Most people who claim to be job seekers are not looking for a job because they really want to work!

They just need:
1. To belong somewhere.
2. To go to a gossip/idle chat centre that operates officially from 8am to 5pm.
3. A photo Studio so that their IG/ FB/ BBM profile will have varieties of photo showing the "assumed" work mode.

What do you contribute to your place of work?
With what you are doing, are you justified that you are working?

SHOCKING PHOTOS!! Woman Gives Birth To Mermaid Baby

This is a really rare case of joined flesh,

A mermaid-like baby has been delivered at the Suntreso Government Hospital in Kumasi, Starrfmonline.com has reported.

The child with a rare defect has only one leg joining the torso from the waist down to the two feet – also conjoined at the heels to look like a caudal fin.
The baby has no genitals.

Meanwhile, reports indicate it seems healthy at birth.
Officials at the hospital have refused to comment officially on the issue.
On October 11, 2011, Graphiconline reported on a similar incident of a baby born at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) also in Kumasi with features like an aquatic creature.
Doctors at the hospital then described it as a congenital deformity.
Nurses at the hospital told Graphiconline's Enoch Darfah Frimpong that the parents of the baby abandoned it soon after it was born and said they didn't want to have anything to do with it.

The legs of that baby was joined in the shape of the caudal (tail) peduncle of a fish. The head appeared like that of a fish, with mouth, lower and upper jaws, nostrils and eyes all popping out in the shape of the aquatic creature.

That baby which was born with the congenital deformity died weeks later.

RECLAIM!! Ransom was Paid for the Kidnapped Orekoya Kids, They Are Now With Their Family

This is some good news cause the kidnapping case caused a lot of controversy in the past few days,

Emotions ran high on Wednesday at the Police College Hospital, Ikeja, where the Orekoya children were being treated after they were released by their captors. Their father, Leke, said they were put in bags by the kidnappers, who left them at the Shasha area of Lagos.

On Wednesday, exactly eight days after the abduction, the three children were released to the family.
They were said to have been released on Tuesday night, and taken to the Police College Hospital, Ikeja for treatment.

PUNCH's correspondent, who visited the hospital, observed as their father, Leke, cuddled 11-month-
old Aderomola. He sang a lullaby as the child slowly shut his eyes, drifting to sleep. He had a drip fastened to his wrist.

The other boys ─ Adedamola and Demola ─ whose drips had been disconnected, played around the Female Ward of the police hospital.

While Demola played games on his father's tablet phone, Adedamola asked for his portion of a chocolate bar being shared by their mother. Their mother, while trying to keep them in check, asked if they wanted to go back to their "new house".

The six-year-old, who quickly recoiled, said, "No, it's a bad place. I don't want to go back there."

When PUNCH asked for an account of what transpired and how the kids were rescued, their father said the family would address the press formally on Thursday adding, "we want to rest today."

He said:
"However, I give thanks to the Almighty God for saving my kids and bringing us together again. This is not by our power. This is a result of the prayers of people for us. We saw the effect of prayers at every point while we were trying to secure the release of the children.
The children were put in bags. It is not the work of the SSS, the military or police. It was God and I am grateful to him."
However, at the Orekoya's residence on Lawani Road, Itire, where relatives and family members eagerly awaited their arrival, PUNCH Metro gathered that money was paid to the kidnappers. The father of the children's mother, Senior Apostle Abraham Adekunle, said the kidnappers sent an account number to the family to pay the ransom.

When asked for the amount paid, he said he could not tell. He said:
"For the eight days that the children were taken away, we did not rest. But yesterday (Tuesday), they called us and said we should send the money to them. They sent their account number to us. Immediately they collected the money, they called us and said they had dropped the children at Egbeda."
The children were picked up at about 9pm.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the children had mosquito bites on their bodies, which made their visit to the police hospital inevitable.

The children's aunty, Adesumbo Alabi, said the family was happy that the children were returned hale and hearty. She said the family was able to pay the ransom through the contributions of members of the public and relatives, who responded to the family's distress call.

"The incident still appears like a home video to me. When I came here and saw the situation on ground, I couldn't hold back my tears. Even while we were looking for the kids on Sunday, we did thanksgiving after praying for hours, believing that the children will be back to us.
We thank God the kidnappers asked for money, because there are cases where kidnappers don't even ask for money, and the next thing you hear is that their captives are dead. But these ones asked for money, and the children are back.
Many people supported us with money. The appeal we made through the Facebook, television stations, radios, newspapers, were not in vain. But I don't think the kidnappers were able to collect all the money they asked for," she said.
Alabi condemned OLX for not assisting the family to secure the release of the children.

PUNCH gathered that the police were on the trail of the kidnappers. A source said when Akinloye reported at the residence of the Akinloye for work last week Tuesday, the victims' mother took her to the office.

It was learnt that while their mother showed her to her co-workers as the new nanny she just employed, the Closed Circuit Television cameras got her image.

The source said:
"When Akinloye reported to work, she took her to her office around 8am. She told her co-workers, 'see my new nanny', and they were all happy to see her.
"It was the following day, which was Wednesday, that she left the nanny at home with the children. The nanny then said she wanted to buy biscuits for them and she abducted them."
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Aderanti, said the police rescued the children.

He said:
"When we got the hideout, we cordoned off the area. The kidnappers got the information that we were closing in on them, and what they did was to quickly abandon the children and flee. They are beautiful children and we have returned them to their parents."
The state police spokesperson, Kenneth Nwosu, said the police were on the trail of the kidnappers, adding that the victims were rescued around 9pm in the Shasha area of Lagos.

TRANSFORMATION IS CHANGE: THE 2015 NIGERIAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS (Must Read)

By King Akan

The 2015 Presidential election might be weeks behind us but let's take a journey back into time and unearth the salient moments of the elections. The election was keenly contested by the incumbent, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC). That is not to say that there were no other parties involved, as a matter of fact 14 political parties contested the elections. However, PDP and APC were the main contenders because of their followership and the popularity of their candidates. For the incumbent it was a mission to secure a second tenure having come into power through the 2011 elections. For the challenger, it was a fourth time knocking in this democratic dispensation having contested in the 2003, 2007, 2011 elections respectively.

The pre-election months and days were characterised by propaganda, provocative statements, and intrigues. There was the case of the missing WAEC certificate of the APC candidate, the labelling of the APC Presidential candidate as 'brain-dead' by the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan and many more. The 2015 elections had all the elements of a great movie; conflict, suspense and a very twisted plot.

The challenger and now President-elect centred his campaign message on CHANGE, promising to fight against corruption, create jobs, and provide better security while the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan centred his campaign message on TRANSFORMATION. A transformation which his party claimed was necessary for the growth of the country. But as the polls revealed the people needed change more than transformation. The Peoples Democratic Party popularly known as the PDP had been in power since the country made the transition from military to democratic rule in 1999. Despite recording improvements in the communication sector, the agricultural sector, trade and investments, and road construction, their reign has been characterised by excessive corruption, inability to provide the people with basic amenities, and a high level of poverty.

Over the sixteen years of rule, PDP had grown to become one of, if not the most influential and popular party in Africa with a large membership and followership. It is also on record that they claimed that they would rule for 60 years. Well, they were on their way to make two decades of rule if they had won the 2015 Presidential elections.

The elections were initially scheduled to hold on February 14 but the government postponed the elections for six weeks due to military operations in some states in the North-east against Boko Haram; the terrorist group popular and unpopular for abducting the Chibok girls and accounting for several deaths in the country in the last five years. The new date for the Nigerian presidential elections was announced as Saturday, March 28, however, voting was extended in some states to Sunday, March 29, because of technical glitches. There were cases of late arrival of electoral materials, rain, violence, delays in several polling units as a result of failures of some card readers introduced to ensure a freer and fairer election. The President and the First Lady, Patience were among those whose cards failed and had to make do with manual accreditation. We will save the card reader faux pas for another day.

After two days of voting and few days of collating, on Tuesday, March 31, the Chairman of the Independent National Elections Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega announced the complete results. All along there was suspense in the air, election results announced on the 29th of March revealed that Buhari was leading. A lead which he maintained until the final results were announced. Despite this knowledge of the challenger's lead, there was always a room to accommodate the spectacular although it never came. Hours before the election results were announced, there were rumours of President Jonathan calling Buhari to congratulate him on his victory. Regardless of the incumbent's now famous call, the nation and avid followers of the elections around the world waited to hear the results from the INEC Chairman himself. You can agree that suspense was the most popular element in the 2015 general elections. Buhari won the elections with 15,424,921 votes while Jonathan had 12,853,162 votes. A margin of over 2.5 million votes.

There were protests against irregularities in voting and violence recorded in a few states; Rivers, Imo, and Bauchi respectively but in general the elections can be adjudged to be free and fair and easily the freest and fairest election ever conducted in the history of Nigeria. An election which reflected the voice of the people. The results however reveal that in Nigeria elections are no longer rigged at the ballot box but rather at the collation centers.

Many predicted the post-election days to be tense and saddled with unrest and violence but that one act of the President went a long way to dissuade angry supporters of the ruling party to initiate any form of violence. So far, the post-election atmosphere has been peaceful. This post-election fears were created by threats of the APC establishing a parallel government in a case that they lost, and also threats of Jonathan supporters in the oil producing states to renew attacks on the oil infrastructure if the incumbent lost. Should we worry less now? Too early to celebrate but we hope all parties accept the results in good faith.

For some they believe that democracy in Nigeria and Africa at large has come of age, others simply regard the victory of the APC as a belief that when the people desire change they can achieve that through the polls. However, the 2015 Presidential elections has given democracy in Africa a new face and we only hope that the same can be seen in the aspect of ideology. In the pre-election and post-election periods we have seen a deluge of politicians changing political parties like children playing with a light switch.

Furthermore, the results show that there still exists a pattern of voting which is in regional and religious lines. Buhari who is a Northerner and a muslim won in the North-west, North-east and South-west, while Jonathan who is a Southerner and a Christian won in the South-south and South-east. The two candidates shared the votes from the North-central which has a fair share of Christian and Muslim populations. For a country like Nigeria where the electorate's choice hinges on several factors; ethnic, regional and religion, a candidate needs to win more than 50 percent of the total votes nationally, and take at least 25 percent of the vote in two thirds of the states to be crowned winner, having satisfied the expectations of the law Buhari is now President-elect and by May 29th, 2015 will assume the role of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Many lessons learnt; don't give up on your dreams, do the most you can when given an opportunity and finally if you are contesting a Presidential election adopt 'change' as your campaign slogan (Laughs). Well, on a serious note, in 2008 the Obama campaign message was CHANGE, seven years later Buhari picks up the CHANGE ticket and also emerges winner. Both cases against all odds.

In summary, the 2015 Presidential elections gave us all the elements of a classic movie and cries for a sequel will only be entertained in four years' time because of the President's noble act of surrender. At the moment the only transformation that can be witnessed is change.

It Is Allowed!! Court Permits Release of Obasanjo’s Controversial Book ' My Watch'

This just came in

A Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Apo, Abuja, has okayed the release of former President Obasanjo's book: My Watch, for release.

Justice Valentine Ashi ordered ‎on the release of the book, which had been in the custody of the Nigerian Customs Service following an injunction he slammed late last year following a complaint by a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Buruji Kashamu.

However, the judge set aside the order of injunction on Monday upon an application by Obasanjo's lawyer, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN). ‎In doing so, the court barred the Nigerian Customs Service from collecting demurrage on the books for the period they had been in its custody.

Vanguard reports that the court upheld Agabi's argument that the applicant, a Peoples Democratic Party chief in Ogun State, Buruji Kashamu, who is currently pursuing a N20bn libel suit against
Obasanjo in the same court, suppressed vital facts to obtain the order.

Kashamu‎, had on December 10, 2014, obtained the injunction from the court through an ex parte application which he filed in his N20bn libel suit against Obasanjo.

Kashamu had predicated his prayer on the argument that part of the book related to the subject matter of the libel suit – a letter dated December 2, 2013 written by Obasanjo to President Goodluck Jonathan.

Kashamu had instituted the libel suit against Obasanjo having been dissatisfied with his being described by the former President in the letter which was widely published in the electronic and print media as a fugitive wanted for drug offences in the United States of America.

On December 8, 2014, Justice Ashi granted an ex parte application restraining Obasanjo from publishing the book pending the determination of the libel suit. But Obasanjo went ahead to present the book to the public in Lagos, an act which the court held on December 10, 2014, as contemptuous.

Following the development the court ordered security and law enforcement agencies including ‎customs to confiscate the book anywhere it was found.

‎The judge in his ruling on Obasanjo's application on Monday upheld Agabi's argument that the order of injunction was wrongly made. Agabi had maintained that the court made the order w‎ithout jurisdiction.

He said:
"The single ground of this application is that, in a case of libel, an interlocutory injunction does not lie to restrain publication in the face of a defendant pleading justification.
"The defendant (Obasanjo) is pleading justification. In paragraph 24 of our counter-affidavit, the defendant said his claim about the plaintiff is correct, true and justified from records available in the federal court of the United States."
He said the court had "issued without jurisdiction" adding, "The moment an interlocutory is granted, the issue is prejudiced, fair hearing is prejudiced."

He also argued that the court could only validly bar publication in a libel suit after the case of libel was proven against the defendant.‎

The case has been adjourned to May 25.
