He said it was the will of God that the All Progressives Congress produced the president of the country in 2015.
Okupe, however, said on his Facebook page on Thursday that if it took Buhari 30 years to come back to power, it would take the Peoples Democratic Party much less to do so.
He said PDP was bowed, but not cowed.
He wrote, "It has pleased the Almighty God to give victory to Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the APC and the President-elect. We accept this as the will of God and I personally congratulate the General on his success.
"We have run a good race and fought a gallant battle. We are bowed but not cowed. We lost the crown but we gained a trophy. The PDP family must not despair; if it took General Buhari 30 years to come back to power, it should take us much less. For the opportunities we have had, we give God all the glory.
"The strife is over for the next four years only. We rejoice with APC and the people of Nigeria on the process we have jointly made in our democratic journey. For our democracy to endure, it is important that the winner clearly emerges while the loser concedes with equanimity.
"Certainly, we will be back. We will overcome this defeat and rise to power and glory in the twinkle of an eye."

Kano State INEC REC, Wife And Entire Family Burnt to Death Last Night
Alhaji Minkaila who supervised last Saturday's presidential and national assembly elections in Kano and his family members were rushed to the Murtala Mohammed specialist hospital where they gave up the ghost this morning. Residents in the area described the fire as mysterious.
Confirming the incident, Kano Police Command's Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Musa Majia told our correspondent on phone this morning that the victims, Abdullahi and his family, were immediately rushed to the hospital when the incident was discovered, but could not make it as they were confirmed dead this morning by the doctors.
"It is really very tragic and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. They were suffocated to death—Mr. Abdullahi, his wife and two daughters. No one can tell for now, what really happened; but we have launched full investigation into the matter.
"As I am speaking with you, I am right here in the hospital with the Commissioner of Police; and we will keep you informed as we begin to unravel the mystery behind this tragic incident," Majia said.

Members of the Somalia-based group attacked the campus at about 5:30am on Thursday shooting some young people and taking others hostage. Students at the college were sleeping when the militants attacked, fatally shooting two security guards and starting their bloody rampage.
"If you were a Christian, you were shot on the spot," said Collins Wetangula, a student who was in a dormitory when gunmen burst in, opening doors and asking whether
students were Muslim or Christian, according to the Associated Press. "With each blast of the gun, I thought I was going to die."
Another female student who escaped the hostage drama told Al Jazeera that she had stepped over more bodies than she could count as she got out of the university, while another student said he had seen more than 100 bodies.
The massacre is the worst terrorist attack in Kenya since the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi in 1998, which killed 224. An attack on an upscale shopping mall in Nairobi in 2013 left 67 dead and renewed fears that al-Shabab could wage significant operations from its strongholds in neighboring Somalia.
The al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab group said during the siege that the assault was launched in revenge for Kenya sending troops to fight the group in Somalia. After the attack, the country's interior ministry announced a 12-hour curfew starting at 6.30pm in Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, and Tana River counties.

10. Genghis Khan
Born Temujin, Genghis Khan set out at the age of 20 to unite all Mongol tribes under his rule with brutal and merciless military tactics. To avenge his father's murder by the Tatar Army, Temujin ordered the killing of ever Tatar male taller than 3 feet. After defeating the Taichi'ut tribe, the chiefs were boiled alive. By 1206, Temujin had defeated the powerful Naiman tribe, giving him control of central and eastern Mongolia. After major victories over other Mongol tribes, leaders made peace with Temujin, who became Genghis Khan, meaning "universal ruler." During later wars the Mongols used enemy survivors as human shields in the next battle. In a campaign against the Khwarizm Dynasty, one Governor Inalchuq was captured and executed by having molten silver poured into his ears and eyes (George R.R. Martin would be proud); the rest of the population was either slaughtered or enslaved. Genghis Khan died in 1227. The cause of his death remains a mystery, though most experts attribute his demise to illness.
9. Idi Amin
Also known as the "Butcher of Uganda," Idi Amin's opponents faced three prospects—imprisonment, torture, or death (sometimes all three). Although precise numbers are tricky to get, it's estimated that between 100,000 and half a million Ugandans were killed and tortured at his hand. Amin ordered the Asian population out of Uganda, declaring an "economic war" on them and blaming them for the country's economic woes. As Asians left the country, businesses were closed and the economy worsened. Amin had a particular appetite for killing people in the most brutal ways, which including cutting off genitals and limbs and letting the victim bleed to death; flaying humans alive and making them eat their own flesh; making men line up and then forcing the first man to lie down, only to have his head smashed by the next one in line with a hammer and then that man would have to lie down, and so on; victims were made to sit in an ice bath outside and freeze to death slowly; women were systematically raped, tortured, and killed. Most bodies were thrown into the Nile where they were consumed by crocodiles.
8. Shaka Zulu
One of the most influential kings of the Zulu Kingdom, Shaka Zulu is widely credited with uniting the Nguni people in Africa with brilliant military tactics using disciplined military regiments. His brutal reign was not fully realized until after the death of his mother when, with inconsolable grief, he began slaughtering citizens of his kingdom. After the funeral of his mother, he ordered his military to go out and kill anyone who was found not mourning properly. He outlawed the planting of crops and the use of milk for a year, and all the women found pregnant were murdered along with their husbands. His brutal reign came to an end when his half-brothers murdered him in 1828.
7. Vlad the Impaler
The inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula is just as scary as the blood-drinking monster. Vlad had a particular taste for blood and torture – and his name offers a clue . To impale his victims, he would insert a wood or metal pole through the body. Usually, it was inserted vertically so that the exit wound would be near the victim's neck, shoulders, or mouth. In most instances, the pole was not sharp to prolong suffering and, in most cases, it would take hours or even days for the person to die. The pole would be raised vertically to showcase the victim. But impaling his victims wasn't the only form of killing he enjoyed. He also drove nails through his victims heads, as well as burning, beheading, roasting children alive and then feeding them to their mothers, mutilation, and countless other atrocities. It's rumored that he would dip his bread in blood before eating it and often enjoyed eating feasts with his impaled victims around him (usually still alive and writhing). It's estimated that he killed anywhere between 40,000 to 100,000 people. Although a relatively small number compared to other evil dictators on this list, Vlad the Impaler earns a spot in the top ten simply for his sadistic pleasure of torturing and killing people.
6. Pol Pot
The Cambodia communist dictator is responsible for torturing and killing the majority of Cambodians, an estimated 1 to 3 million people, or 25 to 35 percent of the country. He put the majority of Cambodians into slave labor, where most died from malnutrition, poor medical care, starvation, or execution. Many were clubbed to death or buried alive. Workers who made mistakes were flogged to death or shot. During his rule, Pol Pot ordered babies torn limb by limb; people were beaten to death with hammers and impaled with sharpened bamboo sticks. In order to make a perfectly equal society, he sent city people to work on the farms and farmers to work in the city, which resulted in widespread famine.
5.Kim Il Sung
Causing the death of around 3 million people, Kim Il Sung was the communist dictator of North Korea for 49 years. He killed all of the officers and rivals that fought alongside him in the Korean War, a war he started. He also exiled or executed the majority of his generals that fought in the war and placed around 200,000 political prisoners in concentration camps. His regime became so bad that when someone committed a crime, even so much as accidently dropping a picture of Kim Il Sung, their entire family was killed or sent to camps where they faced starvation, torture and death. One of the tortures made famous in his camps was making a prisoner kneel in a box motionless for months until death. Firing squads were plentiful in the concentration camps, as well. During his reign, upwards of 3.5 million people are estimated to have died from famine alone.
4.Saddam Hussein
One of the most well-known leaders of the 21st century, Saddam Hussein instituted mass genocide against the Kurds, Shabaks, Assyrians, Madeans, and other ethnic groups that rebelled against his brutal regime. An estimated 2 million people died at his hand. He used mustard and nerve gas against the Kurdish town of Halabja, a population of 45,000, killing between 3,200 – 5,000 people. He used more chemical weapons against the Kurds during a genocidal campaign, killing between 50,000 and 100,000 Kurdish men, women, and children. No one was safe from imprisonment and torture. He often had the torture of his victims recorded and then replayed during dinner for his amusement.
3. Adolf Hitler
Any evil dictator list is incomplete without Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party of Germany responsible for the death of 17 million people. Prior to and during World War II, Hitler's forces engaged in the systematic extermination of anyone Hitler deemed unfit, particularly Jews. His concentration camps killed millions of Jews, Christians, mentally disabled, Gypsies, children, women and anyone who opposed his rule.
2. Josef Stalin
Responsible for more than 23 million deaths, Stalin is one of the most evil dictators the world has ever seen. After Lenin's death in 1924, Stalin became the new Communist leader of the Soviet Union. Stalin's Five-Year Economic Plan caused widespread famine as he forced all peasants to join state-owned farmers co-operatives. This famine hit the south of the Soviet Union particularly hard, as an estimate 3 million people died from starvation in Ukraine alone. Those who opposed the state-owned farm initiatives were deported or murdered, and the state seized their land. Those who survived were shipped to labor camps, similar to the concentration camps of Nazis, where they were worked to death or died of exposure, starvation and disease. Managers of state-operated factories and farms were executed if they didn't produce adequate numbers and, as more and more workers were killed, others had to take on more duties to meet quotas. Taking time off from work and breaks became a crime. Intellectuals, even those who didn't overtly criticize or disagree with Stalin, were sent to gulags as political prisoners. Stalin's "Great Purge" was a campaign to kill anyone opposed to him.
1. Mao Tse-Tung
A Chinese revolutionary and communist leader, Mao tops the list as the most evil dictator in history by sheer arithmetic: at least 49 million people died as a result of his policies. During the first five years of his rule (1949-1953), Mao systematically killed between 4 and 6 million people by sentencing them to death or to the labor camps. His programs, Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, are said to have caused around 20 million deaths due to starvation. He baited intellectuals during his reign to critique him but, after doing so, had them executed. In the end, because of his policies and political purges, Mao caused the death of as many as 78 million people, making him the most evil dictator in history.

Hotel Parking Attendant Damages £300k (N90m) See Why (Photos)
A valet parking attendant in Italy accidentally rammed a £300,000 Ferrari into a shop front after mistaking the brake for the accelerator.
The attendant was supposed to be delivering the rare supercar, which can accelerate from a standing start to 60mph in three seconds, to its owners, a Dutch couple who had taken part in a meeting of Ferrari enthusiasts in Anzio, south of Rome. The owners were staying just a few streets away from where the car was being stored.
Instead of gently guiding the bright red Ferrari 599 GTO towards the Hotel Exedra, a mortified
Roberto Cinti careered into a shop, trashing the car completely and badly damaging the shop front.
"I got confused – instead of the brake, I pressed down on the accelerator," he told police who were first on the scene, according to Corriere della Sera.
He was lightly injured and in a state of shock after the accident and received treatment in hospital.
Photographs of the wrecked car appeared on Facebook and Twitter, with one Dutchman commenting: "Valet parking – Italian style". lol.
Powered by a V-12 engine, the Ferrari 599 GTO has a top speed of more than 200mph. Such is the exclusivity of the 599 GTO, that owners can not simply arrive at their local Ferrari dealership and seek to purchase the model. You have to be invited by the Italian company to hand over your cash.
The identity of the Dutch owner has not been revealed and his reaction to what happened is not known. The matter is being investigated by an insurance company.
Only three Ferraris have been designated GTO and only 599 of the latest model were produced.

Mbaka, whose New Year Message, "From Goodluck to Badluck," became a major talking point during the campaigns for the election, said Buhari's emergence was a divine victory for all Nigerians.
Speaking through his spokesman, Maximus Ugwuoke, Mbaka also noted that Buhari's victory was a fulfillment of his prophecy in the New Year Message.
However, he urged the President-Elect to seek divine wisdom before appointing people who will
work with him.
According to him, President Goodluck Jonathan's biggest problem was that he surrounded himself with the "wrong people." Mbaka advised Buhari to avoid making the same mistake.
The cleric's spokesman said:
"It is with vindictive joy and glory to God that the Adoration Ministry, the nation and indeed the world saw the fulfillment of Fr. Mbaka's New Year prophesy of change with the miraculous, victorious emergence of General Muhammed Buhari at the March 28th polls as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
"We wish to restate that before President Goodluck became the President of this country, Fr. Mbaka prophesied it in his message titled 'Okolo.' Today again, Buhari's victory, among other lessons it portends to Nigerians, has once more confirmed to all and sundry that Fr. Mbaka is indeed a true Prophet of God and that his New Year message was indeed from the Oracle of the Holy Spirit as he declared.
The ministry with magnanimous heart holds no grudges against anyone who attacked it in one way or the other at the rage of the controversies surrounding Fr. Mbaka's message and view their actions as being orchestrated by their misconstruing of Fr. Mbaka's prophetic calling.
The Ministry joins the rest of Nigerians to congratulate Buhari as God's chosen instrument of change to tackle the myriads of problems facing Nigeria and pray God to endow him with the wisdom to go about this onerous task.
We see Buhari's victory as divine victory to all Nigerians irrespective of our religious and ethnic divide."
Urging Buhari to seek divine wisdom before choosing the people he would work with, he continued:
"The prayer of Fr. Mbaka is that God will give Buhari wisdom not to surround himself with wrong people – that was the major problem Jonathan's administration faced.
Fr. Mbaka has advocated that Nigerians should be patient with Buhari because the holes dug in the country are too much – holes of corruption, holes of unemployment, among others."
The cleric said he will be the first to condemn Buhari if he fails to live up to expectations.

At the time the call was made, the Independent National Electoral Commission was yet to declare Mr. Buhari winner because it was still expecting results from Nigeria's remote Borno State.
By the time the Borno vote was added to the tally, Mr. Buhari garnered 15,416,221 votes to Mr. Jonathan's 12,853, 162 votes.
The historic concession telephone call defused tension across Nigeria and has thrown up Mr. Jonathan as a democracy hero.
That conversation is believed to have saved Nigeria from descending into violence in the aftermath of the election.

Fueled by nuclear thorium lasers, this engine only needs 8 grams of fuels every 100 years. Charles Stevens, the CEO and chairman of the Connecticut-based company, claims that one gram of thorium yields the energy of 7,500 gallons of gasoline. Harnessed by heating the energy from an external source, the energy becomes so dense the molecules produce heat. A vehicle that needs refilling once a lifetime.
It seems many countries and military agencies have been experimenting with this type of energy to power vehicles for a number of years. And now with designs to create a car for the public, those who find their gasoline budget a sensitive topic may find relief in this model.
