NET can reveal authoritatively that the remains of controversial Nollywood actor, Muna Obiekwe who passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, is presently embalmed at the Nigerian Naval Reference Hospital's morgue in Alakija, Satellite Town, Lagos.
As at the time of his death, confirmed on Sunday by the AGN as well as a host of his colleagues after initial confusion caused by a fake Twitter account, Muna was 36 years old.
An attendant at the morgue, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed to NET that the body was brought in from a private hospital in Festac where the actor passed away on Sunday evening.
NET also gathered exclusively that his corpse will be at the well-guarded Naval base until his family members will move it to St. Edwards Hospital's morgue in Obosi, Onitsha, Anambra State.
The actor is from Anambra State and NET gathered that arrangements by his family members will see his corpse moved to his state of origin on Saturday, January 24, 2015. When NET contacted Muna's widow (who sounded quite young, well educated but firm and confident) on the phone, she refused to divulge her name or have any discussion whatsoever with our correspondent.
The attendant stationed at the morgue said the woman laid down very strict instructions that her name, contact or details be divulged to no one no matter the circumstance. Efforts to get the deceased actor's wife to at least comment on burial plans or disclose her name or history of marriage to Muna proved abortive as she insisted on protecting her family's privacy.
The stand is not dissimilar to the late actor's lifestyle as he was very popular, intensely controversial but reportedly very elusive about his personal life. A number of his colleagues who do not want their name in print allege that Muna suffered in silence, to the point of death from Renal Failure.
The level of compliance to Muna's wife's instructions at the Naval hospital's morgue gives an indication that she either has a military background or one of the late actor's relatives is connected to the military in a way. This is because it is very difficult, if not almost impossible, to embalm a corpse in a military health facility without being a personnel or having strong military ties.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon in the Gbagada area of the state.
Punch Metro learnt that Kingsley had followed the APC to a rally and returned with some group of boys who later besieged the campaign office of the APC governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, for "settlement."
Our correspondent was told that after money was given out to the men, trouble started when a particular group wanted to pocket the largesse.
In the ensuing scuffle, the Imo State indigene was shot dead.
His corpse was said to have been deposited at the Gbagada General Hospital mortuary.
It was learnt that the police, had however arrested a suspect, Abayomi Ayeni.
A resident of the area, Jegede Johnson, said the victim was killed around 4pm.
He said, "It happened around the APC campaign office in Gbagada. After they finished their rally for the day, some group of boys returned to the campaign office for settlement.
"They were given some money to share among themselves.
"A fight broke out when one of the groups wanted to go away with the money.
"The struggle was intense, and at a point one of the groups brought out a gun and shot the guy dead."
The victim's father, Samuel, a carpenter, said he had returned from work in the evening of the fateful day when he learnt his son had been killed.
"I returned from work at about 9pm and I heard my son was killed. By that time, it was too late for me to go out so I waited till the following day which was a Saturday. I reported the matter at the Ifako Police Station.
"He had just finished his apprenticeship and we were looking for a job for him when he was killed. He was the third out of my six children."
The victim's elder brother, Chima, said, "I learnt that my brother was struggling for the money with those boys. When they entered a bus, they shot and killed him."
It was gathered that the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, where the suspect was also being held.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident.
In a situation like this ,we should ask one single question ' what should be the work of religious leaders and men of God in such a time like this?
It is really simple , you can go down history lane and you will see that politics is not a game for prominent men of God ,
I don't see any reason why any Man of God or pastor should be involved in politics or be a source of confusion , am really against the prophesy of Prophet Mbaka , he was just looking for attention he said God spoke to him , God speaks to me too And God will not reveal something that will bring disorder and dismay to his people , Look at Daniel , Moses , Elijah,Elisha joseph the list goes on , they were all messengers of God ,
And every other so called man of God that is in anyway contributing or taking side ,in this political business is doing the wrong thing ,
Any pastor that is involving him or herself in politics or seeking any political position is also doing the wrong thing , if at all the person win where we know the chances are very slim , will the person still be able to serve God and still function very well politically?
Also no pastor should try to convince his congregation to vote for a particular candidate , that is also a misuse of divine position
There is something everybody needs to understand , it is God that puts every leader on the presidential sit , he allows it and every country or people is always given the leader that they deserve ,
Most politicians are all about their selfish interest ant the interest of their political party and godfathers , Have you seen any politician that you can say is a born again christian? Even if he or she was , if you enter any political sit , you will be corrupt , that's how the system works it is not a curse
You need to see that the reason why there is no place for men of God in politics
Men of God and churches are suppose to be the good force balancing the evil and really bad things going on in the society , if most of you really know and understand the type of career that politics is , maybe you will understand what I mean
No politician is clean , I have met a lot of them , the occult initiation , juju, and sacrifices that are done behind cameras are really deeper than what the media is telling you ,A friend of mine had to decline a small political position in his town ,why? They said he had to meet some prominent people one midnight , and when he got there they gave him a calabash filled with blood that he has to swear that he will be loyal to the society if they put him in office and it is not just in Nigeria , it is worldwide , politics is not for good people , if you are put in office as a good person the forces around you will change you and if it doesn't it will take you out of office ,
I don't want to mention names and I won't tell anybody to vote for a particular candidate
All am saying is that politics is not for men of God , and any man of God causing confusion or involving himself in politics is doing it against the will of God and surely his hands are dirty unless he did it in Ignorance in which case he has to seek for forgiveness
This country needs prayers in year 2000 during the time of Obasanjo the western world predicted that in 2015 there will be segregation,division and internal conflict in Nigeria , This is where the interest of Men of God and churches should be
we have been one and together since independence and we can still do it , go out and vote for anybody you want that's your personal decision , not who your pastor has asked you to vote for , and may God help Nigeria .
