74-year-old man identified as Nwoke Simeon Ogbuehi who was on Thursday, May 26, nabbed molesting a 14-year-old boy in Abia state.

According to The Breaking Times, the Umukam Okaiuga Nkwoegwu Autonomous Community in Ohuhu, Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia state is in deep shock and fear arising from a bizarre incident and conduct of Chief Magistrate Mirabel C. ken Ahukanna of the Afugiri Magistrate Court in Umuahia North LGA.

The community in recent times has been embroiled in incidences of indecent molestations, sexual assaults and rapes of adolescent males in the community orchestrated by a 74 years old man, Nwoke Simeon Ogbuehi also from the communityLuck however ran out on Ogbuehi on Thursday 26 day of May 2016 when the youths of Okaiuga community caught him in the act forcefully having carnal knowledge of 14 years old JS2 pupil Master Chukwuebuka Uchendu.
The community promptly handed Ogbuehi and his victim to the police at the divisional police station at Afugiri, who then took over the investigation and thereafter arraigned the suspect before the Chief Magistrate Court, Afugiri. It was at this juncture that the matter took a bizarre turn.

When the case came up before Chief Magistrate Mirabel C. ken Ahukanna and after querying the victim in open court who narrated his repeated ordeals at the hands of Ogbuehi, the chief Magistrate promptly discharged the accused on the grounds that the holding cell at Afara prison has no space to take in further inmates and with that released a suspected pedophile back to the community to continue his dastardly acts.

Joseph Yobo ends football career and given chieftaincy title in Ogoni-land

Renowned soccer stars like Samuel Etoo, Kanu Nwankwo, Stephen Appiah, Austin Jay Jay Okocha and others gathered in the city of Port Harcourt penultimate on Friday to honour Yobo with a testimonial match. Yobo and his wife, Adaeze, were thereafter conferred with chieftaincy titles as the Mene Aborlo 1 and Waamene Aborlo 1 of Ogoniland in Rivers State. The titles were conferred on them by the paramount ruler of Ogoniland, His Royal Highness GNK Gininwa. The soccer star took to his twitter account to share his joy at being conferred with the title.

Yobo made his Super Eagles debut against Zambia in a 2002 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Chingola, Zambia. He quit international football at the age of 33 after getting his 100th in the match against France at the World Cup in Brazil.

Nigeria Federal government suspends sacking of workers in the Banking sector

The federal government of Nigeria has given directives to  banks, insurance and financial institutions to suspend their actions  in the sacking of workers in the sector.

Minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige in a statement said; "Following spate of petitions and complaints from stakeholders in the banking, insurance and financial institutions, I hereby direct the suspension of the on- going retrenchment pending the outcome of the conciliatory meetings in the industry," "This is as a result of the apprehension by my office of the various disputes in the sector in accordance and in compliance with the provisions of the labour laws of Nigeria. "In this wise, all the retrenchments and redundancies done in the last four months and all proposed ones should be put on hold pending the outcome of the proposed stakeholders' summit for the banking, insurance and financial institutions' employers and employees, slated for July 2."

so sad ,  the all-time legend,  Muhammad Ali, and three-time heavyweight champion boxer died after a battle with a respiratory illness. He was 74.

At the time fighting under his birth name, Cassius Clay first gained worldwide notice at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, where he won gold as a heavyweight. He more fully burst onto the public scene in 1964, when as a 7-1 underdog he fought and defeated Sonny Liston for the professional heavyweight championship. Loudly and frequently vowing to "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee," Ali knocked out Liston in seven rounds, becoming, at the time, the youngest champion in history, at the age of 22.
