The shocking crazy stuff some people put their bodies through! 61 year old former boxing coach, Kellie Maloney, pictured above, came out as transgender earlier this year. Twice-married Maloney, as a boxing promoter Frank helped Lennox Lewis to become world heavyweight champion. She is now around 18 months into her transition period to change her gender from male to female. 

She was undergoing surgery on her face in Belgium two weeks ago to make it appear more "feminine", but instead complications left her unconscious for four days, her face ballooned to twice its normal size and she almost stopped breathing. See the graphic photos after the cut.

Nigeria's Foremost Playwright Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka diagnosed With cancer

Nigeria's foremost playwright and Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has been diagnosed of cancer. Soyinka who announced this at a press conference which held at the June 12 Cultural Center in Ogun State says he was diagnosed of the disease last December.

Soyinka said he decided to open up so as to create awareness about cancer disease and to help people take measures to prevent it or seek prompt medical attention for cure. He added that he survived the silent killer disease because of early detection, treatment and proper dieting, adding that it has also dawned on him that the family has a history of cancer ailment.

Although he did not reveal the nature of the cancer which has been attributed to old age, his son, Dr. Olaokun Soyinka, who is the Commissioner for Health in Ogun State, told The Nation that his father was treated for "prostate cancer."

Bette Midler just took direct aim and fired at Ariana Grande, telling her she acts like a whore for nothing.Midler did an interview with The Telegraph, grousing about the state of the music biz. She's particularly disgusted with Grande, saying, "It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering around on a couch."Midler goes on, "... Looking so ridiculous. I mean it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it."And then the punch. In giving advice to aspiring singers, Midler says, "Trust your talent. You don't have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead." It's interesting.  In the 70s Midler was considered to have one of the raunchiest acts around.
