Gov. WikeTo Immortalize Dead Corps Member; State Allowance Increased to 10k and 15k

Governor Nyesom Wike has said that the late corp member, Mr Samuel Okonta who died during the re-run election in the sate will be immortalized.

Speaking at the NYSC Headquaters in Port Harcourt, He said the death of the young man was really sad and promised to assist police in every possible way to carry out a proper investigation.

He also said the state will take care of the immediate family of the deceased.

Governor Wike noted that the death is even more painful because the corps member was an orphan who suffered through schooling and was on the verge of being of help to his immediate family.

He said: "The death of this corps member is unfortunate and condemnable. I urge the Police to thoroughly investigate the crime. The outcome of the investigation should be made public so that those involved are prosecuted. The killing of this corps member must not be swept under the carpet.

Governor also announced the increment of the State Monthly allowance from 10,000 to 15,000 for all corps members serving outside Port Harcourt. While those serving in Port Harcourt will now receive 10,000 instead of 5,000

The governor said his administration will also take measures to improve security in the state. He said that steps will be taken to ensure that the incident does not reoccur.

State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Ngozi Nwatarali commended the governor for commiserating with the NYSC at its moment of grief. She appealed for greater protection for corps members during elections.

Responding on behalf of the family, Alex Edeabeatu thanked the Governor for his gesture. He said that the late corps member was a shining light.

He only ends up asking them for money after making most of them fall in love with him. He will simply lie to them that his mom is sick and needs urgent attention and some of them, out of love, will send huge money to him. Please help me publish so that it will go viral incase he or she tries to impersonate me again. .

He has scammed a lot of people already. I wont like a situation whereby I come back to Nigeria and get arrested for what I didn't do. Please help me. Just last week alone, 4-5 friends complained to me that they saw my pics with different names as someone that they may know on Facebook timeline.

Please help post this so that these women wont be scammed again. Some of them are already in love with my pics but with the wrong individual. This is really bad. I want the general public to know so that they can help me spread the news on Facebook and other social media. My real facebook name is David Enyinnaya Chuks.

Corper Allegedly Stabs His Boss For Refusing To Sign His Monthly Clearance Form (Photo)

A lawyer undergoing the one-year National Youth Service Corps scheme in Calabar, Godbless Nnaji, has allegedly stabbed his boss, Donald Archibong, for refusing to sign his monthly clearance form.

Nnaji had reportedly tried to persuade his boss in his private chambers in the Calabar-South axis of the Cross River State capital to sign his letter, but resorted to violence after his persuasion failed.

Archibong alleged that Nnaji broke the centre table in his office and used one of the pieces of glass to stab him on his right arm.

A doctor's report issued by the Police Hospital in Calabar, dated March 9, 2016 indicated that the cut on his right forearm was as a result of a physical assault.

According to reports, it was learnt on Tuesday that a petition dated March 9, 2016, had already been written to the Director-General of NYSC through the state coordinator calling for necessary actions against Nnaji.

Narrating his ordeal, Archibong said he absorbed Nnaji to work in his chambers in December 2015 and within the short period observed that the young barrister, who was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015, had poor attitude towards work.

He narrates, "I decided to write to the Cross River State NYSC secretariat via their zonal coordinator seeking for his recall.

"I decided to give a week of grace whether there would be show of repentance and when none was forthcoming, I sent out the letter on March 9.

"An hour later, Barrister Nnaji barged into my office, demanding for his clearance for the month of March. I informed him that that would be quite impossible as I would not want to contradict myself, having asked for his recall on one hand.

"He demanded that I withdraw the recall letter I sent to NYSC. At that point I asked him to leave my office. This infuriated him and he started using uncouth and extremely abusive words on my person.

"He became extremely violent, threatening my life, saying 'you cannot destroy my future; I will kill you before you destroy my future'."

Apart from stabbing him in the process, Archibong alleged that Nnaji took N68, 000 in an envelope in his office that was meant for an arrangement for his late mother's burial and a GSM phone, which he later dropped.

When contacted, an official in the office of the Head of Rewards and Discipline, NYSC Secretariat, Calabar, who preferred anonymity, confirmed that the unit was in receipt of the petition written by Archibong and was currently investigating the matter.

Tyga Sued Again By His Landlord For Messing Up His Apartment

Tyga should simply buy his own place and then tear it down—instead of always getting sued by his landlords for being a nightmare tenant.

Tyga's landlord has sued him again, claims TMZ.

According TMZ, Tyga is being used because he "rented space for his company, Egypt Last Kings Clothing. As you know, he's into Egyptian design, even naming his kid Cairo.

So, one day in June 2015, Tyga's landlord found the place abandoned, and it was a disaster. The doors had been painted black with Egyptian patterns, the ceiling tiles were painted over and there were ink stains around 5,000 feet of concrete flooring.

What's worse … the landlord says someone poured ink down the drain and into the public sewer … an environmental no-no."

The fed up landlord claims he spent more than $75,000 to repair the damage and wants that, plus 5 months of rent.

But Tyga says, the problems were the landlord's doing and the building wasn't up to code so he abandoned it.

 Teenage Hot Nigga Rapper  Bobby Shmurda says the cops who busted him on a felony gun charge targeted him and his friends because they're black.

Bobby claims in new court docs cops have had it out for him because of his anti-police raps … adding the very same officers who arrested him in 2014 harassed him and his friends before. 

Shmurda says the 3 NYPD cops who claim they found him gun in hand in a NYC apartment have a history of lying. Shmurda says, in an unrelated case, one of the cops in question swore she saw a drug exchange but later fessed up and said it wasn't true.

Shmurda wants access to police disciplinary records, which he says is especially important because the police are also the only witnesses to his alleged crime.

Apparently the judge didn't see eye-to-eye with Shmurda and has denied the rapper's request.

New Source Claims That 'Nomoreloss' 'Commited Suicide (Shocking details)

Most of us mourned the death of one of Naija's Veteran music icon without knowing the main cause of his death,  the following details might shock you.

According to the source Adeyemi Olumuyiwa Osinuga popularly called Nomoreloss reportedly committed suicide by drug overdose on Monday.

The singer has been battling depression secretly since his wife of many years rejected him because his career wasn't thriving unlike when they first met in 2008.

The source said though he wasn't close to the deceased in the earlier days of his career, he got to know him through a friend when his brother sent him packing out his apartment in Park View, Ikoyi.

The 40-year-old singer returned from the United States and went broke. In the process, he suddenly developed Malaria and spent all his life savings on it, the situation forced him to move out of his matrimonial home to his brother's place in Ikoyi but for undisclosed reasons, he didn't quite get along with his brother's wife and the lady, opposed to housing him, would later come up with stringent rules that eventually sent him packing. From the posh apartment on the island, he moved into an undisclosed hotel in Anthony area of Ikeja, Lagos.

After spending months in dejection without access to his daughter and wife, the young man reportedly took his own life on Monday after taking a combination of strong drugs.

We asked the source if his family knew he committed suicide.

Meanwhile, his family said he died of typhoid fever while his friend, Ayo Odunsi said he died of Malaria and chest infection.

The deceased will be buried on April 1st 2016.
