Fabricated??? See EFCC Official press release Concerning The N1tn Diversion

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to a report captioned, Alleged N1tn diversion: Senate to probe Lamorde’s alleged diversion of N1tn, which appeared in The Punch Newspaper of Monday August 24, 2015 containing salacious claims of corruption against the person of the chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde.The EFCC should ordinarily not dignify the publication with a response as the motives of the promoters and their media allies are to impugn the integrity of the EFCC boss with fabricated stories of corruption.


However the Commission is constrained to respond, to expose the motive behind the sinister plot. In the first instance, claims of a N1trillion corruption in the EFCC is infantile and assaults the sensibilities of all reasonable stakeholders in the anti- corruption fight.
Even if the EFCC had not returned a kobo of recovered assets in its 12 years existence in addition to the yearly appropriated funds from the federation account, it will be nowhere near a trillion naira. This clearly exposes the mission of the so called petitioner as nothing more than mischief, designed to smear Lamorde.
More sinister is the discovery that the so called petition did not follow the procedure for consideration by the senate. It was sent, not to the senate but to a member, Senate Peter Nwaoboshi, a first term senator from Delta North.
Under the senate rules, petitions meant for consideration by the red chamber are sent to the senate, not to a member of the senate.
Also, petitions meant for the senate are tabled at the plenary, before they are referred to the relevant committees for further consideration. In this instance, the senate has been on recess and there is no evidence that the so called petition was considered at plenary and referred to any committee.
The EFCC as an agency that is founded on transparency is not afraid of any “probe” or request for information regarding its activities by individuals, groups or organs of government; so far as such requests followed due process of law. 
The EFCC under Lamorde did not need the prompting of anyone, when it commissioned a reputable international audit firm, KPMG to carry out comprehensive audit of exhibits and forfeited assets of the Commission from 2003 to date. The report of the audit will be made public once it is ready.
Were the Commission to be jittery about its records, it would not have embarked on such audit.
The EFCC however warns that those who peddle false information with the intent to mislead should be reminded that there is a subsisting law on false information and the consequence for violation is grave.

Femi Falana, a famous Lagos lawyer, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption strategy.

The Lagos lawyer while speaking on Channels TV programme said that “contrary to the general belief that former President closed his eyes to corruption, President Goodluck Jonathan did so much in the fight against corruption including the sack of three of his ministers for alleged graft.”


Falana added that Jonathan carried out the most positive loot recovery without making noise about it.

It should be noted that during the Jonathan’s tenure, the administration presented the Single Bank account for the country, saving billions.

Their electronic payroll payment system and the Bio-metric registration of federal personnel recognized 68,000 ghost workers and over 50,000 ghost pensioners.

The previous government also introduced the Single Contract Requisition system with a legislative oversight.

The cashless economy was the cause that “Ghana-Must-Go” vanished in the National Assembly and around the corridors of his government.

Arik Air Staff Caught With Cocaine In London, NDLEA Starts

A male cabin crew member of popular aviation company, Arik Air, who has been identified as Chika Egwu Udensi was on Monday night arrested at Heathrow Airport, London, by the United Kingdom Border Force for allegedly possessing items suspected to be 2.76 kilogramme of cocaine. According to Arik Air spokesman, Mr. Ola Adebanji, the company is presently carrying out private investigations to determine how the cabin crew member came about the banned substance. Osama bin Laden's son Hamza has urged jihadists to move their war to Britain and America


The chilling message believed to be from Hamza bin Laden tells fighters to move their brutal regime in the Middle East to Europe and America.

An audio recording has been released, introduced by current terror chief Ayman al-Zawahiri, according to terrorist intelligence group SITE.

Madness Or Maaaaadness?? Meet The Man That Lives Like A Goat(photos)

These days people don't fail to amaze me with the kind of things that they explore , well like they say YOLO , so don't fail to have the best of it, I feel Thomas has capitalized on that slogan. 

Thomas Thwaites, a man who was curious to know how it feels to live like a goat has now given up his human life to join his goat friends in eating grass and playing in the farm. Apparently, Thomas was even thinking about constructing an artificial goat stomach for himself that would digest grass.

Out of Thomas' curiosity, he ordered special limb prosthetics which gave him hooves that would enable him to walk on all fours comfortably, and took to the farm to live among goats. Prior to getting his new hooves, he also spoke to a behavioral expert on goats, and watched as a goat was dissected to learn more about the animal.

Now Thomas lives on a farm in Swiss Alps and lives his life like one of the goats. Speaking to a reporter from Motherboard, he said:

I was able to keep up for maybe a kilometre or so on this migration down the side of this kind of rocky mountain, and then they just left me in the dust. So I spent the rest of the day trying to catch up to them. And eventually I found them again, and it was quite nice, in the actual soft grassy pasture bit. But actually heading down the mountain was petrifying – because if I fell I didn’t have any hands to stop me from hitting a rock.

I found myself at nearly the highest point on the hill of the whole herd of goats, and there was this moment where I looked and noticed all the other goats had stopped chewing and were looking at me. I hadn’t been scared at all before, but I suddenly became aware of their quite sharp and pointed horns. A particular goat that I’d been hanging out with a lot seemed to have defused the situation
