Previously on Cidle's "The Dead"
Cidle Corp Bio research facility was  set up to see to the outsourcing of advanced pharmaceutical products for the entire populace, it was also a front, secretly run by the government for the manufacture
of Bio-Weaponry in advanced combat warfare  with locally home grown terrorists and external threats.

Chaos broke out in the facility as the genetically engineered pathogen became airborne after an infected test Baboon went on a horrendous rampage, feeding off the  flesh of a research analyst, who then died instantaneously when the virus hit his C.N.S, the problem was that he didn't stay dead. Every last person in the research facility got killed and turned, spreading the virus further, infecting the entire population of Nigeria with "Rage".
That was Then, This is Now.
Episode 3, 'Survivor'
Two Years have passed since the virus broke out in Nigeria during which a new government headed by General Mohammed Buhari was formed.

The Virus hit Liberia and Sirrea Leone in the thick of the Ebola crisis, medical personnel were misled into thinking it was an Ebola outbreak they were dealing with as news of the Quarantine in Nigeria spread, what they didn't know, was that the porous borders of Nigeria, provided a safe corridor for the infected to flee. With the lack luster performance of the military personnel who fled at sitings of packs of Dead, the infected migrated, soon west Africa and the whole  continent  became ground zero.
Governments fell, the living became the dead, resources dwindled and an already precarious power situation in the continent worsened.

[ THEN ]…
[ NOW ]…

"The Dead "
Screams hurled, shutters clanked, streets barren and a stench filled the air. Putrefaction was common, as flesh littered roads glistened underneath the scorching sun.
Growls and beleaguered voices of the dead echoed from street corners, life as we know it was undoubtedly extinct.
In this chaos stood a sanctuary, the Holy Family chapel. It's outside walls were blood stained, a once vibrant place of worship was a shadow of itself now.
On the wall, a faded gloom casted upon the picture of Christ as creaky wooden floors chymed to the rythm of filtered wind.
The Parish had a medical ward in it, immediately shit hit the fan, everyone bailed, medical personnel were evacuated, those left behind were either eaten or committed suicide and turned afterwards.
In the wards of the  Parish lay a boy, his flesh pale, hands cold, feet bruised, he had been in a car crash before it all started, lingering in a Comatose state ever since, it's a miracle how he survived without basic medical services.

His eyelids fluttered open, the light pierced his sight, he muttered "Mummy", his eyes searched the ward's walls, only a withered flower laid beside his bed. He made to stand up from the bed, his back ached, he pulled off the i.v attached to his body, made for the floor and fell flat on his belly.
On his feet now, his pace staggered, he lunged for the door, it creeks open, he peers into the hallway, the halls were dark as little light filtered in from cracked walls and broken windows, a sudden chill trickles down his spine. On his bare foot, he caresses the walls with his back making his way through the poorly lit hallway, he opens a door, it leads into the chapel, his gaze caught sight of the faded image of Christ, he calls out, " Mummy ", "Mummy", then he heard something, the grim moan of The Dead. Footsteps quickened towards him, his heart beats faster and his sight becomes foggy, blood red frightened he is. The dead inches closer to him as he can see the full description of what he heard before, eyes as dark as night, decaying flesh and teeth as brown as mud, the dead inched closer to him, snarling and growling at every broking piece of upholstery clammed up on the debris laddened floor.

He darts towards the direction whence he came, but the sudden burst of life by the dead, seemed to have awakened every crawler in the chapel. The boy is even more frightened now, nowhere to run , his mind flashes back to summer camp, when he used to be a boyscout, quickly he darts towards the dead, goes down on his 2 knees and crawls in between the legs of the Crawler  as fast as his tiny hands could carry him, racing down the hallway, he tries every door knob and most were sealed shut, finally he gets to the end of the hallway, pushes open the door and it opens out into the streets, the sudden rush of light into his retina, blinded him momentarily, but he manages to recover almost instantly.
The chapel safely behind him, the little boy's heartbeat staggered, the streets were empty, police patrol vans were empty, bonfires from scorched vehicles shouldered on, there was pandemonium in the streets.
He looks up to the sign post, on it, were the words
