GOBE!! Neighbour's Camera Flash Damages Eyes Of 3-months Old Baby (Photos)

‎This one na serious gobe and this should be a lesson to Parents and intending parents in the house, please take note of this. this lil angel pictured above was left blind in one eye after a family friend forgot to turn off his camera flash while taking a close-up photograph. 

Doctors said the three-month-old, who has not been named, has suffered irreparable damage from the flash of the camera, which was held about 10 inches away from the baby boy. The parents noticed that there was something wrong with their baby's vision soon after the photograph was taken, reported the People's Daily Online. Following the incident, the baby suffered from reduced vision in his left eye and blindness in his right eye. The damage is said to be permanent and cannot be fixed with surgery, DailyMailUK adds. The strong flash has damaged cells on the macula, which is the part of the eye where incoming light rays are focused. Damage to the macula can lead to the loss of central vision, which allows people to see straight ahead. 

The macula is not fully developed until children are four, meaning youngsters are very sensitive to strong light.Experts have said that while babies will shut their eyes when exposed to light on reflex, just milliseconds of strong light can cause permanent damage. 

They added that parents should be careful of strong bathroom lights when their babies are taking a bath. It is not clear whether the family friend will face any legal action following the incident. What would you do if you were this baby's mum or dad?

SHOCKING!! Baby Disappears During Naming Ceremony In Ogun State (pics)

A very shocking day it was for the people of Inuosegba community in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, as residents were hit with a big shock while searching for a missing baby.

According to the Nation reports that the 18 month old baby identified as Hezekiah Opeyemi Ogundele was taken by his brother to a christening cer

emony at Inuosegba community around 4pm on July 26th, Sunday. However, while the ceremony was to commence the baby mysteriously disappeared.

Guest got apprehensive and started to comb surrounding bushes and houses, searching for the baby. Only to find a suspicious building near the venue of naming ceremony, the residents found severed human wrist and school children's items. As there was no one inside at that time, the residents placed the property under surveillance.

It was said that a commercial motorcycle operator visited the building in the early hour. He was reportedly apprehended and handed over to the Lafenwa divisional police headquarters in Abeokuta.

The building is believed to be owned by one Chief Olasile Ifayemi. Though baby has not been found, the operatives of the special anti-robbery squad, the Nigeria security and civil defense corps, came to the scene making effort to control the furious crowd who are bent on bringing down the building.‎

‎This is a great disappointment for BBA lovers,and we are sorry to inform you that Africa's biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Africa (BBA) has been cancelled. 

The organisers of the reality show have sited a lack of sponsorship its decision to cut the show off this year.

The organizers, Africa Magic and Endemol were unable to get sponsorship for this year's edition of the controversial show.

The Manager of Multichoice Ghana, Anne Sackey confirmed on Sunday that they at Multichoice Ghana had received notice from MNET that this year's edition of Big Brother Africa would not hold.
She explained that MNET did not give them any reasons as why they would not be holding the Big Brother this year, but then, "she personally thinks it's due to sponsorship constraints".

6 Arraigned In Connection With N31m Fraud (Photos)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, July 24, 2015, arraigned six persons before Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye of the Lagos High Court, Ikeja on a 17 count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing and forgery.

The six accused persons – Festus Onile, Olawale Garuba, Abiodun Afainiya, Jayeola Afolabi David, Yewande Adeyemi and Adetoun Kammal, were arrested by the Commission sequel to a petition from a new generation bank which alleged fraudulent transfers and withdrawals of N31 million through ATM and Point of Sale, POS, from the account of one of its customers. 


One of the counts reads: "Festus Onile, Olawale Garuba and Abiodun Afainiya between the 14th December, 2012 to 18th December, 2012 at Lagos within the jurisdiction of this honourable court with a dishonest intent stole the sum of N5,513,519.98 (five million, five hundred and thirteen thousand, five hundred and nineteen naira, ninety eight kobo) through point of sale terminals (POS) from account no. 0038253607 belonging to late Shodiya Wemimo Agnes."

The accused persons pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to them.


In view of their plea, the prosecution counsel, Abba Mohammed, prayed the court for a trial date and to remand the accused persons in prison custody.


However, Seun Adenuga, counsel to the first accused asked for a short adjournment to enable him file for bail. He also prayed the court to remand the accused in EFCC custody.



Justice Ipaye however ordered that the accused be remanded in Kirikiri prison pending the determination of their bail applications and adjourned the case to October 9th, 20th and 21st for trial. ‎
