Statement as released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission below;

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, May 11, 2015 arraigned Uchenna Nwako, Ejikeme Oluchukwu, Nnamani Ikechukwu, Ibeh kodili Martins and Nwako Victoria Ifeoma before Justice D.V Agishir of the Federal High Court, Enugu, on a 16-count charge bordering on intent to defraud and obtaining N26,338,000 by false pretence.

The five accused persons were picked up by EFCC operatives on February 27, 2013 after intelligence reports indicated that they were involved in fraudulent activities bordering on cybercrime.

Part of the charge read: "That you Uchenna Nwako, Ejikme Oluchukwu, Nnamani Ikechukwu, Ibeh Kodili Martins and Nwako Victoria Ifeoma sometime in November 2012 in Enugu, Enugu State within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, conspired among yourselves to commit an unlawful act to wit: obtaining money by false pretense and thereby committed an offense contrary to Section 8(a) and punishable under section 1(3) of Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.

"That you Nwako Victoria Ifeoma and Uchenna Nwako on or about October 18, 2012 in Enugu, Enugu State within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, concealed and disguised the origin of the sum of N8,940,000 which is proceed of an unlawful activity by causing the said money to be paid into the Zenith Bank account number 1013144345 of Ifechina Enterprises Limited, a private limited company jointly owned by both of you, and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 15(2)(a) and punishable under Section 15(3) of the Money Laundering Act , 2011 (As Amended)."

They however, pleaded not guilty, when the charges were read to them. In view of their plea, the EFCC counsel, M. A. Ekwu, requested for a date to be fixed for trial of the accused persons to begin. Defence counsel, A. Oyenkwere, however requested bail for his clients, which was opposed by Ekwu. Ekwu argued that only Ikechukwu who had honoured the terms of the administrative bail deserved bail. Ikechukwu was thereafter granted bail in the sum of N1,000,000 with one surety who must be either a seasoned businessman that owns a landed property with a C of O, or a civil servant of Grade Level 15 or above.

The case was adjourned till May 13, 2015 for consideration of the bail application of the other accused persons, who were ordered to be remanded in EFCC custody.

It was a show of shame when a supposed man of God in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, was beaten to a pulp by some prostitutes because he went after another woman apart from his regular customer.According to an eyewitness who sent the report to Pulse, the man identified as Pastor Effiong, had been secretly patronising the ladies of the night at a popular brothel located around the Watt area and had one of them as his regular customer.
The witness who was at the scene when the fracas happened, said:

"Trouble brewed for him when he went to the hotel with his bible on the pretext of preaching as he always does. But unfortunately for him, his regular woman was engaged with another man and instead of waiting for her, he went to another lady's room and was busy enjoying himself when his regular woman came out and was told that the pastor had gone to another woman.

I never knew that prostitutes could be jealous o. The lady went to her colleagues room and banged on the door, accusing the woman of snatching her man.

The one inside was not happy with the accusation and opened her door in anger and engaged the first one in a fight. Other prostitutes of hearing what happened, grouped and descended on the Pastor and beat him blue black.

It took the intervention of other patrons of the hotel to get him out of the clutches of the women who were busy insulting him, calling him unprintable names.

It was a show of shame indeed."

The 88 Tauri is the latest smartphone from the Tonino Lamborghini Group and it comes with an extravagant price tag of $6,000, according to Russian tech website hi-tech.mail.ru.

Tonino Lamborghini manufactures luxury products, like watches and accessories. The company's name comes from it's founder, who is the son of the late Ferruccio Lamborghini, the man behind Lamborghini cars.

Only 1,947 88 Tauri devices will be made — the number was chosen for the founder's birth year.

The technical specs aren't groundbreaking — it's in line with already available smartphone options — but this phone is clearly more about showing off wealth than any sort of advanced functionality.


There's a 5-inch HD display and a 2.3GHz quad-core processor. It also comes with 64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. The 20-megapixel camera is a bit more impressive, along with the a front-facing 8-megapixel camera.
