SAD! Driving instructor ‘rapes, strangles corps member’ (Photos and full details)

A 29-year-old driving instructor, Festus Udo, has been arrested by police in Ogun for allegedly raping and strangling a female youth corps member.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, who led journalists on Wednesday to the scene of the crime‎ at Abule Ayo area in Mawuko, Odeda local government of the state, said the suspect had confessed.

The decomposed body of the victim, 23-year-old Modupe Taiyese, was found at the scene in the forest.

Mr. Ilyasu said the suspect was a driving instructor‎ with Lizzy Driving School, Abeokuta, where the victim registered to learn driving.

He said Mr. Udo, an indigene of ‎Oromi in Edo State, on Saturday lured the corps member into the bush with the promise of giving her a driving permit.

The commissioner said police received complaint of a missing person from the coordinator of the NYSC in the state, John Okon, and immediately went into action.

‘My big breast caused an accident in Lagos’ – Actress Mimi Ozakpolor

Busty Nollywood actress, Mimi Ozakpolor, in an interview with HVP, revealed how her 'wahala wey dey for front', caused an accident in Lagos.

Woman Wins US Lottery Of $758million And Is Now Richer Than Beyonce And Taylor Swift Combined!

The second largest jackpot in US history, $758.7 million, has been won by a single ticket purchased in the small town of Chicopee, Massachusetts outside Boston.

A 53-year-old Massachusetts mother of two on Thursday came forward to claim the largest single jackpot win in US history -- $758.7 million -- and promptly quit her job of 32 years at a hospital.


Mavis Wanczyk said she played the lottery as a "pipe dream," never believing that it would one day be possible for her to retire early from the Mercy Medical Center, where she has worked for decades.


On Thursday that dream came true.


"I'm going to go hide in my bed!" she added when asked how she planned to celebrate, wearing black-framed spectacles, a zip-up hooded black sweater over a grey lace top, necklace and shoulder-length thick auburn hair.


She has the choice of taking the jackpot as an annuity spread over 30 years or a one-off cash lump sum of $480.5 million, depending on state taxes.


Wanczyk, who has a 31-year-old daughter and 26-year-old son, said she previously been "OK" financially and had yet to work out how to spend her millions, other than paying off the car she bought last year.


While she could have remained anonymous, she said she came forward so quickly because she wanted to "get it over," hoping that everybody would leave her alone.

The $758.7 million jackpot is Powerball's highest since a January 2016 world record of $1.6billion.

Oba Of Benin Explains Why Elderly Man Was Chased From The Palace But Denies Ordering Disgraceful Eviction.

The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II,has reacted to news reports concerning the embarrassing eviction of an alleged Benin chief from the Palace.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Desmond Agbama, the Oba dismissed the claim that the man was a Benin chief.

He also said that though the elderly man was found with "abominable objects," he (Oba) never ordered him to be manhandled. "For the avoidance of doubt, the man in question is not a chief in Benin Kingdom as has been ascribed to him. 

"The man came to the palace in the company of those who had issues to resolve at the palace but he violated the norms of the Benin custom and tradition and was found carrying on his person abominable objects forbidden by Benin custom and tradition," the statement read in part. "At no time did the Oba order the man to be manhandled.

"The persons who escorted the man out of the palace may have over-reacted themselves in their efforts to protect the tradition and culture of the Benin people and the sanctity of the palace. However, the Oba of Benin has ordered a full investigation into the incident,"‎ it added.
