Niger Delta University closed down indefinitely after violent student protest

The Protest was carried out by final year engineering students, after the University announced that they were not recognized as student of the University, even after their 5years of study. Other sources also claim that the University is asking  the final year engineering students to go back to 200 level for a fresh start.

this decision of the University did not sit well with the students, who have spent 5years of their lives studying a difficult course such as engineering, and so they decided that a violent protest and shutting down the school, was a way forward.
