federal government close down Yaba Tech due to violent students protest

The sad death of 27-year old final year student of Yaba Tech, Dazan Charity in the medical centre yesterday resulted in the violent uproar of students of the polytechnic. Her friends confirmed that Dazan was very sick but the attendents at the school's medical centre asked them to go and bring N35,000.

none of them had that huge amount of money and questioned why they must pay such an amount in the first place. When there was no way forward, the students had to run around to get the list of medications written for them by some of the staff at the medical centre, which includes drugs and drips. But sadly, Dazan who lost her father not too long ago and her mother lying ill in their home town passed away. 

This was the major cause of the student protest. The protesters claimed that the school medical center is fond of demanding huge amount of medical bill from students and in return provide poor health care. The Federal Government of Nigeria had to close down the school because the protest was involving a lot of violent act and chaotic atmosphere
