Happy Belated 71st Marriage anniversary to George, Barbara Bush

Yes, this was meant to come 2days ago but I can't trash this,  I just want those that are looking into marriage to have hope that marriage still works,  regardless of what you see on TV or hear,  some people are still happily married in the same world,

The Bushes were married in Rye, New York back in 1945.

HOUSTON -- Former President George H. W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush  celebrated an amazing 71 years of marriage.

They married in Rye, N.Y. on January 6, 1945.

George Bush was 16 years old when he met Barbara Pierce at a dance.

They were engaged right before Bush was shipped overseas as a naval pilot during World War II.

They eventually moved to Texas and raised six children, including presidential candidate Jeb Bush and former President George W. Bush.

The Bushes still call Houston homeand can frequently be seen at local sporting events.
