Family of the husband who battered his wife, wants it to be settled it internally .

According to the report, the woman named Gloria, was battered by her husband on Saturday. The attention of rights activist and president of Women Arise for Chamge Initiative, Dr. Joe Odumakin, was drawn to it and she has since taken up the case. In a series of tweet today, she said: .

"Update on Woman BATTERED by husband. Our lawyer went to d hospital to meet wit d woman in precarious condition, he was moved to tears as she shared her long tortuous years of domestic violence. WA lawyer proceeded to Festac police station where he translated her story into statement thanks to d PPRO I was in constant touch with. .

Also the DPO & the DOC for their swift action. D police eventually apprehended d perpetrator who turned d wife into a punching bag & created an irreparable  damage on d face & body of d wife. The wife puncher will be charged to court tomorrow. .

He has mobilized his village & community members who had said d issue will be settled d family way. D question however is would the family wait till she dies & bury her d family way when they have refused to stop him from beating her all these years. .
