Sometime last year, we published on this blog, a piece that covered the problem of fuel scarcity and the illicit advantage fuel stations took by inflating the price.
Well, everyday for the thief, one day for the owner.
Apparently, today was the day of the Owner as the NIGERIAN CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS, acting on a tip-off, stormed the premises of ARMOUR Filling station in ADIGBE, ABEOKUTA, the capital city of OGUN STATE and forced them to give out fuel to consumers at no cost at all!.
On getting to the station, the officials checked the fuel pit of the station and discovered that they had over 10000 litres of fuel, but they were not selling, which served to confirm suspicions that they were hoarding the fuel for the sake of profiteering and exploitation.
As a result, they forced the gates open to the public to come in get fuel free of charge. Did somebody say Nemesis?
