I am disappointed that Johnathan Used Mercenaries to fight Boko-Haram - Buhari

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari in an interview with the UK Telegraph ,showed disappointment that Goodluck Jonathan  ( EX-President)during his tenure employed mercenaries in the fight against the Boko-Haram terrorist sect.

According to him,

"I personally was very disappointed that the previous government resorted to mercenaries. I was also disappointed by the recent revelations of how military allocations were also misappropriated. 

"How is it that Nigeria's military, which has a good record across west Africa, cannot claim back to 14 out of 774 local governorates from Boko Haram? They have to ask for mercenaries from South Africa? How the mighty has fallen!" he said

Buhari is lying, Boko Haram still controls 50% of Borno state- Senator Garbai

Senator Baba Kaka Garbai said that the story that the insurgency in Nigeria is dying down are lies . He revealed this to journalists on Saturday evening during a condolence visit to Dalori village where 65 persons were reported murdered by the insurgents .

Garbai, who was in Dalori, said:

"I feel highly demoralized, devastated in the sense that this is the village we came during the election and they were going about their normal business. The activities that were ongoing was like confidence building.They actually got the signal a few days before the attack that the insurgents were likely to attack them,they reported to the constituted authorities but nothing was done.
"I will like to appeal to the military to intensify their effort in ensuring they beef up security around the villages and communities that share borders with Maiduguri metropolis. It is very important and more so that this place is porous, there could be attack from any direction."

Another Baby Factory busted in Enugu state.

In Enugu, a 72-year-old man, Ozor Akpudachie, has been arrested by the police for running a baby factory. PUNCH reports that Akpudachie, who hails from Ogui-Eke in Udi Local government of the state, ran the criminal business in his home.
4 teenage pregnant girls were rescued by the police and they were identified as indigenes of the local government.

Naira again depreciates to the dollar at parallel market

The Naira on Friday afternoon exchanged for N310 to the dollar from N307 it traded for previously, with a depreciation of one per cent.

It, however, maintained N197 to the dollar at the official Central Bank of Nigeria's window.

Traders at the market said the demand for the greenback had forced it to fall further in value in spite of insinuations of an intervention at the foreign exchange market by the CBN.
