In 1994, we got the seminal hip hop classic, Illmatic, 20 years later we have lip gloss' answer to the record, Lipmatic. That's right, a new makeup line has launched with a name inspired by Nas' debut record, and it's none other than Nas' own daughter behind it.
Nas took to Instagram today to promote the launch of Destiny's new company, adding that "it's great to watch her plans unfold".
Will Lipmatic have the same influence on the makeup game as Illmatic did on the rap game? Only time will tell. As for what we'll hear from Esco next, the NY legend unveiled a new J. Dilla-produced track last month, so hopefully he's got something planned soon.
